BE PREPARED IN THE EVENT OF A CRISIS

It is a question of having prepared, before the crisis, the documents and essential goods that can be used immediately and of having built up a
stock of essential food in an accessible place.

For memory :

 Documents (photocopies and/or originals): - valid passport and authorization to stay in the country; - consular registration card; -
vaccination record and medical documents; - civil status documents (family book); - driving license and vehicle documents; - insurance
policies; - any other important document; -
 house keys.
 Financial ressources : - check books and credit cards; - a small sum of money (euros, dollars and rands in cash, in view of various costs
to be incurred in the event of a crisis, in particular energy, where cash dispensers and cash registers in stores no longer work);
 Food and liquid resources: - a minimum of three days of foodstuffs; - a stock of drinking water for three days (6 liters per day and per
person); -
 a gas stove; - lighter, matches.
 Miscellaneous equipment: - fuel and water jerry cans for the vehicle; - tablets to disinfect water; - first aid kit; - hygiene products ; -
toilet bag and tissues; -
 clothes (corresponding to the season) and spare glasses; - comfortable or mountain shoes; - backpack ; - sleeping bags ; - survival
blankets; -
 small radio set; -
 flashlight and spare batteries; - candles, matches; - insecticide (seasonal); - ready-to-eat provisions; - road maps; - map of the city of
residence; -
 telephones and cigarette lighter or USB chargers; - garbage bags, plastic bags; - can opener; bottle openers; pocket knives; paper towel;
 UPS, inverter with solar panels or mini-generator.
