A) The AP Spanish Language Exam is to develop Spanish language skills and learn about

the cultures in Spanish-speaking parts of the world, understand and/or perceive in and
communicate in Spanish, and write long texts such as essays and letters and even stories.
The AP Spanish Language and Culture Exam assesses student understanding of the skills
and course learning objectives outlined in the course framework by giving an exam in the
end of the year with a multiple-choice section and a free-response section which goes
onto a total of 3 hours.
B) The sections which I believe will be the hardest for me to learn is the free-response
questions because I will have to think an answer that is from my own skill set and
capabilities to understand Spanish, but also answer it in a timely manner that will allow
me to write proficient texts that the proctors and/or teachers can understand and even
enjoy. The free response also requires a basic understanding of knowledge of the world
around me, especially about cultures on Hispanic countries and its history and even
politics, that I will have to put on paper to the best of my capabilities, making it one of
the hardest sections during the exam.
C) I will prepare for the AP Spanish class and end-of-the-year exam by constantly reviewing
terms and texts in Spanish and verbally read my own texts and try to improve any errors I
did during class time. I can also rely on flashcards and try to talk to my family members
in the best, Grammarly-correct Spanish that I can and get tips on how I can improve so I
can strive to do better.

I do have a Hispanic Background, but I am unable to speak Spanish, being one of the reasons
why I strive to understand and learn Spanish.
