Ohm’s Law

2 November 2022 Dr. R. SUMATHI / Prof./ Dept of EEE,SKCET 7

Limitation of the Ohm’s Law
1. It is applicable only for metallic conductors maintained at
a constant temperature.

2. The law is not applicable if the temperature changes

3. It is not applicable for non-metallic conductors

4. It is also not applicable for non-linear devices such as
diodes, transistors and semiconductor devices.
