Prepositions

What are prepositions?

Prepositions are words that are used with a noun or a

pronoun to show direction, location, or time or to

introduce an object.

Examples: Snowy is in his basket.

: The book is on the table.

: The cat hides behind the curtain.

: The boy stays at home.

: The horse jumps over the wall.

: The dog sits between the girls.

All the underlined words are called prepositions.
