Long Distance Condition Based Monitoring

Your ultrasonic meters, gas chromatographs, flow computers, presets and

other measurement products are often in remote locations and are not
always readily accessible to your staff. Daniel’s Remote Performance
Verification and Diagnostic Services can keep your measurement system
performing at peak efficiency anywhere in the world with the touch of a
few keystrokes from a remote computer.

The program begins with a simple dial-up or TCP/IP connection from one
of our global service centers to the equipment location.

A factory-trained, field-experienced Daniel specialist remotely monitors the

performance of equipment. Stationed at a computer, the specialist verifies
the current status of the equipment and performs a calibration cycle to
confirm proper operation. You receive results electronically.

 Meter Tube Inspection
Special Care for a Critical Component

Even the finest meters with the best flow-conditioning equipment won’t
escape the inevitable - build-up that can cause significant measurement
errors, resulting in “lost and unaccounted for” gas measurement. Our
Meter Tube Inspection and Recertification Program is the solution to
internal meter tube build-up problems.

If an initial evaluation is required, We inspect the meter tube run with a

state-of-the art videoscope, which records images of the pipe wall and
flow conditioners without the need for disassembly.

The knowledge and experience of our certified technicians reduces

operating and maintenance costs and provides confidence that the clean
meter run will minimize “lost and unaccounted for” gas.

Our technicians:
Open and position meter sections for inspection and recertification
Clean, inspect and complete needed repairs on the primary
measurement device
Clean and inspect the flow-tube sections upstream and downstream of
the meter, including flow conditioners
Supply and install new gaskets, flange studs/nuts and insulation kits for
end flanges, as required
Place the meter tube back into line and torques all flange fasteners
to required settings

Wastewater is carefully collected and contained for disposal. Upon

completion of work, the customer receives an electronic and/or hard copy
of all inspection findings and recommendations.

Daniel® Engineered Systems

Daniel Measurement and Control, Inc. is the industry leader in designing,

constructing and commissioning of complex oil and gas metering systems
to exacting standards.

This global organization offers decades of fiscal petroleum flow

measurement application experience. Customers rely on Daniel’s
Engineered Systems Group’s international fabrication facilities, customized
engineering and success in field testing and support. From the simplest
single-stream skid to complex on-site installations, Daniel delivers both
natural gas and liquid petroleum turn-key applications. The Daniel
Engineered Systems team designs, constructs and commissions the
metering project, blending up-to-the-minute technology with decades of
understanding of what customers need and expect.

Components of a Daniel Engineered System installation typically include

meters, valves, provers, flow-control instruments, instrumentation and
read-out equipment, and process management components. Computer
software and hardware are integrated with the measurement system.
Standard calculation methods include AGA3 (now API-MPMS-14.3), ISO
5167, AGA5/7/8, AGA9 and the API Manual for Petroleum Measurement
Standards.

Daniel’s Supervisory Control Systems utilizes a sophisticated Graphical

User Interface, database server, and a dedicated PLC for the metering
skid/MOV interface. Redundancy is often used for custody
transfer systems and/or when system integrity is essential.

A dedicated Project Manager and Project Team are assigned to each

measurement system project. This team is responsible for overall system
design and project construction from start to finish. A separate internal
QA/QC group reviews all design details, inside and outside fabrication,
assembly and system testing.
