Dear Professor Ilya Okhmatovskiy,

For some time now, the business model has become something essential for
businesses that want to have a solid plan of how they are going to generate profit. Ever
since I first learned what business model means, I became very interested in the subject,
not only because it was interesting, but also because it made sense to me.
Business models are important for new as well as established companies. They
assist new and developing companies to attract investment, recruit talent and motivate
management and people. Established firms must continuously update their business
plans or they will fail to anticipate future trends and challenges. In addition to all this,
business plans help investors to assess the companies they are interested in, as through
the BM a person can understand what is the core strategy of the company they are
interested in.
I have in mind in the future to develop a business of my own, and for that to
happen I have to have as much knowledge as possible in this area to be able to do it in
the most effective way. Not only in the beginning, but during all the time that I am
connected to the company, because as I mentioned before, a business has to be able to
do modifications in its business model, because the market changes, and I have the
ambition of when I open my company I will have the "flexibility" and know-how to do
it.
I am marvelled at the possibility of diving into this Field Lab to expand the
research on Business Model Innovation and be part of the most exciting projects. Being
able to employ all the skills that I have developed throughout my life, contributing,
therefore, positively to this Work Project, is my deepest purpose at the moment. To do
so, my friend Santiago Iturriaga would be the best teammate I could ask for in this Field
Lab and we would very much appreciate if we could form a team together. I am
confident this would be the perfect fit.
