Always disconnect the Battery FPC B to B connector to cut off power supply when the Display
Assy is disassembled.
Always finally connect the Battery FPC B to B connector after other connector are connected
except the Display B to B.

1289-2983 SMRA(Sony Mobile Repair Application) Calibration or Flashing Customize by Emma or


Aged Battery Reset by Emma must be performed when following Reassembly or Replacement.

any objects within 50cm.
Remove the protection film if sensor window is covered

4.1 Cap Tray Assy


Remove Cap Tray Assy.
Note! Remove the Cap Tray Assy to keep rear side up.
Otherwise, SIM card and (or) micro SD card will be fallen
down.

4.2 Display Assy


Place the Vacuum Cup for tool on the Display Assy.
Note! Place the Vacuum Cup the center on the Display
Assy.

Set the ring position to the bottom.

Hung the Vacuum Cup for tool on the Panel Front


Disassembly Tool.

Turn the lever to pull up the display.

Wait until it opens the Display Assy.

Disassembly

Provide Disassembly Sheet to cut the Adhesive WR Window


Display, the Adhesive Window Display Top and the
Adhesive Window Display Bottom these are fixing the
Display Assy and the unit.

Under the Display the Graphite Camera, the Graphite Plate


Display and the FICTIVE Front Camera are located as
shown.

The Loudspeaker is located at yellow marked position.

Insert the Disassembly Sheet into the between display


and unit at both side of the phone.
Insert the Disassembly Sheet short side to the unit right
side.
Insert the Disassembly Sheet long side to the unit left side.
Note! Do not hit side wall and Mirror sheet (ESR :
Enhanced Specular Reflector) of the Display Assy as
shown yellow arrow. Some dark marks will appear on
the Display assy if you hit them. Insert the Disassembly
sheet under the Display assy when you cut both side of
the Adhesive Display as shown red circle.

Disassembly

Remove the unit from the Panel Front Disassembly Tool.

Slide the Disassembly Sheet along both sides of the Display


view area.

Slide the Disassembly Sheet from the right side of the


Display to the right side of the Loudspeaker (Receiver).
Don’t slide beyond red line.

Note! Don’t insert the Disassembly Sheet into the unit


beyond red dotted line to prevent damage of the inner
part when slide the Disassembly Sheet to the right top
of the Display.

Slide the Disassembly Sheet from the left side of the Display
to the left side of the Front Camera window.
Don’t slide beyond red line.

Note! Don’t insert the Disassembly Sheet into the unit


beyond red dotted line to prevent damage of the inner
part when slide the Disassembly Sheet to the left top of
the Display.

Remove the Display Assy from top side.


Note! If you remove the Display Assy from bottom side,
the Loudspeaker and the Display FPC may have damage
during disassembling.

Remove the Holder LCD BtB as shown.

Disconnect B to B Connector.
Note! Take care don’t lift the Plate LCD B to B Assy.

Remove the Adhesive WR Window Display to use Bamboo


Skewer.
Rotate the Bamboo Skewer to take up the Adhesive WR
Window Display, the Adhesive Window Display Top and the
Adhesive Window Display Bottom.

Note! Make sure to remove all residues of the Adhesive


WR Window Display, the Adhesive Window Display Top
and the Adhesive Window Display Bottom completely
from both Display Assy and unit (Green Highlighted
Area).
Don’t use Isopropyl Alcohol for cleaning.

4.3 Loudspeaker
Remove the Loudspeaker.
Scrap! Don’t reuse the Loudspeaker.

4.4 Plate Display Assy


Remove the 9 of Screw M1.4x4.0 by using the screwdriver
with Bits (JCIS No 0).
Scrap! Don’t reuse the screws!

Remove the Plate BtB Battery.

Disconnect the Battery B to B connector with the Front


Opening Tool.

Remove the Sheet Conductive Vib.

Remove the Screw M1.4x3.0 by using the screwdriver with


Bits (JCIS No 0).
Scrap! Don’t reuse the screws!

Under the Plate Display Assy the TGF is located yellow


marked position. Insert tool between the Plate Display Assy
and the Holder Main PBA to peel off the TGF. .
Note! Don’t deform The Plate Display Assy.

Remove the Plate Display Assy.


Note! Follow 6 Battery Ruse Instruction. Don’t reuse the
Thermal Gap Filler If you find any damage.

4.5 Battery
Remove the Sheet protection Plate display.

Pull the Adhesive Battery black tab.


Note! Pull the Adhesive Battery horizontally and gently
to avoid cut.

Remove the Battery.


Don’t reuse the Battery. Don’t reuse the Plate Display,
Graphite Camera, the Graphite Plate Display and the
FPC NFC If you find any damage

4.6 PBA complete


Remove the Holder Main PBA.

Remove the Sheet Slider MOP as shown procedure.

Unlock the Ant WLAN Main as shown.

Remove the Ant WLAN Main,

Disconnect the 2 RF connectors on the PBA complete.

Unlock the Ant WLAN Assy partially as shown.

Disconnect the FPC Relay Assy B to B connector with the


Front Opening Tool.

Disconnect the FPC Key Assy B to B connector with the


Front Opening Tool.

Disconnect the FPC JK Module B to B connector with the


Front Opening Tool.

Straighten the FPC JK Module FPC.

The PBA complete is fixed by 2 hooks on the Cover Main


Assy where is marked by yellow circle.

Note! Be careful the JK Module FPC B to B.

Remove the Lens Flash with the Tweezers.

Remove the Holder Sensor with the Tweezers.

Disconnect the FICTIVE Camera 24.5M a B to B connector


with the Front Opening Tool.

Remove the FICTIVE Camera 24.5M with the Flex Film


Assembly Tool.
Note! Grab the side wall .

Disconnect the FICTIVE Front Camera B to B connector


with the Front Opening Tool.

Remove the FICTIVE Front Camera with the Flex Film


Assembly Tool.
Note! Grab the side wall.

The Holder Top Assy is fixed by 4 hooks and 2 rib on the


PBA complete.

Remove the Holder Top Assy as shown procedure.

Remove the Liquid indicator.

4.9 FICTIVE Front Camera


Remove the Holder Front Camera.

4.10 FPC Relay Assy


Remove the Screw M1.4x3.0 by using the screwdriver with
Bits (JCIS No 0).
Scrap! Don’t reuse the screws!

Insert the Nylon Pointer to unlock the Holder Bottom as


shown.

Remove the Holder Bottom.

Disconnect the Ant WLAN Assy RF connector on the PBA


Sub.

Move the Ant WLAN Assy to the original location.

The PBA Sub is fixed by 1 hook and 1rib on the Cover Main
Assy where is marked by yellow circle.

Remove the PBA Sub as shown.

Peel the FPC Relay Assy gently from the Cover Main
Assy.

Remove the Plate LCD BtB Assy from the Ant Main Assy.

Remove the USB connector.

Remove the Plate LCD BtB Assy.

4.11 PBA Sub


Remove the Sheet PBA Sub.

Unlock the ZIF connector from yellow circle side.


Remove the Sheet PBA Sub A.

Remove the Holder MIC 1st Assy.

Remove the Sheet PBA Sub A.

4.12 Ant WLAN Assy


Remove the Sheet Relay USB.

Disconnect the Ant WLAN Assy RF connector on the PBA


Ant.

Remove the Ant WLAN Assy.

4.13 Ant Main Assy


Remove the Ant Main Assy is fixed by hook and the
Adhesive WR Speaker Duct on the Cover Main Assy where
is marked by yellow circle.

Unlock the hook to insert the tool.

Pull the Ant Main Assy and cut the Adhesive WR Speaker
Duct.
Note! Don’t touch the Ant Main Assy and the Cover Main
Assy to avoid damages.

4.14 Speaker
Remove the Speaker.

4.15 PBA Ant


Remove the PBA Ant.

Note! Especially take care the Spring pins on another


side.

4.16 FP Sensor Assy


Peel the FPC Key Assy gently from the Cover Main Assy.
Note! Especially take care yellow circle part.

Pry the FPC Key Assy marked yellow circle and push the
FP Sensor Assy with finger.
Note! Take care the FPC Key Assy FPC B to B.

Disconnect the FP Sensor Assy B to B.

Remove the Plate Holder Key.

Remove the FPC JK Module.

Remove the Gasket Camera and the Gasket Volume.

Remove the Key Camera and the Key Volume.

3cm

Cut the 3cm the Strong brown Packaging tape to 3cm.

Roll the Reinforced the Strong brown Packaging tape so that


adhesive becomes outside as shown.

Rolled the the Strong brown Packaging tape as shown.

Affix the Rolled the Strong brown Packaging tape on the


Panel Rear Bottom.

Insert the Bamboo Skewer into the Rolled the Strong brown
Packaging tape.

Pull up the Panel Rear Bottom with the the Strong brown
Packaging tape.

Create gap

Insert the Disassembly sheet. Disassembly Sheet

Slid the Disassembly Sheet as shown then remove the


Panel Rear Bottom.

5mm
Note! If cannot pull up with the Tape. Insert the Dentist
Hook to the Panel Bottom location as shown.

5.1 Cover Main Assy


Affix the Sheet WR MIC on the Cover Main Assy Top side
and Bottom side.

Press the Sheet WR MIC with finger.

Install the Key Camera and the Key Volume on the Cover
Main Assy.

Install the Gasket Camera and the Gasket Volume on the


Cover Main Assy.

finger.

Affix the Liquid indicator on the Cover Main Assy.

5.16 Battery
The Battery is installed on the Plate Display. If the Battery is
not located at correct position, the B to B connector of the
battery will not be able to connect.
Follow the procedure to install the battery on the proper
position of the Plate Display.
In order to install the Battery on the proper position, the unit
is utilized as tool for locating the Battery.

Place the 1st ESD Film on the unit to avoid damages to


the Battery.
Note! Cut the ESD Bag (1240-0884) make two pieces of
75mm x 145mm ESD Film.
Make sure to cover the Battery bottom side with ESD
Film.

Connect the Battery B to B to the PBA complete for


alignment.

Install the Plate Display Assy on the Battery on the unit.


Note! Make sure to align the 4 screw holes on the unit
and the Plate Display.

Pull the 2nd ESD Film from under the Plate Display assy.
Note! Bring the Plate Display as close as possible to
the 2nd ESD Film to avoid damage to the Battery.

Place the Plate Display Assy on the Battery.

Pull the 1st ESD Film from under the Battery.

Remove the Plate Display assy with the Battery from the
unit.
Note! Avoid damages to the Battery when remove the
Plate Display assy with Battery from the unit.

Set the Press Clamp on the Battery.


Align the Press Clamp with topside of the battery.
Press the Battery for 10 seconds with the Press Clamp.

Affix the Sheet protection Plate display on the Battery and


the Plate Display Assy.

Thermal Gap Filler


Prepare the new Thermal Gap Filler Syringe and
Thermal Gap Filler Tube.

attachment, and make sure to go through it prior to use!

Life is 6 month after manufacturing.

Ex) Lot.59O = Manufacturing date is September 24th 2015.

Open the tube with cap head


Material will start to set once it is exposed to air.
Scrap! Thermal Gap Filler Tube cannot be used in 24h
after opening.

Fill the contents of the tube in to the syringe from the end of
the syringe.
Once filled in the syringe, must use within 1 hour.
Scrap! Thermal Gap Filler Syringe cannot be used 1hour
after filling.

Make sure the contents reach up to the tip of the syringe


and a small amount of the contents flows out as air is
released.

Wipe off the tip before using.

Applying volume for one unit is 0.07 ml.

Carefully apply the Thermal Gap Filler to center of red


hatched area.
The Plate Display Assy installing must be done
immediately after applied Thermal Gap Filler (within 5
minutes).

Wipe off the tip of the syringe until next repair.


Scrap! Don’t refill the Thermal Gap Filler to the used
syringe.

Next time you use, let a small amount of contents flow out
and wipe off the tip again.

Place the 1st ESD Film on the unit to avoid damages to the
Battery.
Note! Cut the ESD Bag to make the ESD Film that size
75mm x 145mm.

Install the Plate Display Assy with the Battery on the unit.
Note! Make sure to align the 4 screw holes on the unit
and the Plate Display.

Install the Plate BtB Battery on the unit.

Tighten Screw M1.4 x 4.0 by using the screwdriver with Bits


(JCIS No 0).

Remove the Adhesive BL Display with Film.
Note! If the Adhesive BL Display is not attached on the

Remove the Adhesive BL Display to use Bamboo Skewer.


Rotate the Bamboo Skewer to take up the Adhesive BL
Display.

6 Battery Reuse Instruction


If you intend to reuse the Battery, carefully follow the Battery Reuse Instruction.
If it is failed, Don’t reuse, and Scrap the Battery.

6.1 Battery Handling Notices


Don’t damage the battery foil with sharp objects.
Don’t twist or deform the battery in any way.
If the battery is dropped to floor, should not be used,
and scrap.

- In case of removing the Battery with Plate Display
Assy as shown.
- Battery appearance check is OK.
