Always disconnect the Battery FPC B to B connector to cut off power supply when the Display
Assy is disassembled.
Always finally connect the Battery FPC B to B connector after other connector are connected
except the Display B to B.
1289-2983 SMRA(Sony Mobile Repair Application) Calibration or Flashing Customize by Emma or

Aged Battery Reset by Emma must be performed when following Reassembly or Replacement.

4.1 Cap Tray Assy

Remove Cap Tray Assy.
Note! Remove the Cap Tray Assy to keep rear side up.
Otherwise, SIM card and (or) micro SD card will be fallen
down.
4.2 Display Assy

Place the Vacuum Cup for tool on the Display Assy.
Note! Place the Vacuum Cup the center on the Display
Assy.
Set the ring position to the bottom.

Hung the Vacuum Cup for tool on the Panel Front

Disassembly Tool.
Turn the lever to pull up the display.
Wait until it opens the Display Assy.

Disassembly
Provide Disassembly Sheet to cut the Adhesive WR Window

Display, the Adhesive Window Display Top and the
Adhesive Window Display Bottom these are fixing the
Display Assy and the unit.
Under the Display the Graphite Camera, the Graphite Plate

Display and the FICTIVE Front Camera are located as
shown.
The Loudspeaker is located at yellow marked position.

Disassembly
Insert the Disassembly Sheet into the between display

and unit at both side of the phone.
Insert the Disassembly Sheet short side to the unit right
side.
Insert the Disassembly Sheet long side to the unit left side.
Note! Do not hit side wall and Mirror sheet (ESR :
Enhanced Specular Reflector) of the Display Assy as
shown yellow arrow. Some dark marks will appear on
the Display assy if you hit them. Insert the Disassembly
sheet under the Display assy when you cut both side of
the Adhesive Display as shown red circle.

Disassembly
Remove the unit from the Panel Front Disassembly Tool.
Slide the Disassembly Sheet along both sides of the Display

view area.
Slide the Disassembly Sheet from the right side of the

Display to the right side of the Loudspeaker (Receiver).
Don’t slide beyond red line.
Note! Don’t insert the Disassembly Sheet into the unit

beyond red dotted line to prevent damage of the inner
part when slide the Disassembly Sheet to the right top
of the Display.

Disassembly
Slide the Disassembly Sheet from the left side of the Display
to the left side of the Front Camera window.
Don’t slide beyond red line.
Note! Don’t insert the Disassembly Sheet into the unit

beyond red dotted line to prevent damage of the inner
part when slide the Disassembly Sheet to the left top of
the Display.
Remove the Display Assy from top side.

Note! If you remove the Display Assy from bottom side,
the Loudspeaker and the Display FPC may have damage
during disassembling.
Remove the Holder LCD BtB as shown.

Disconnect B to B Connector.
Note! Take care don’t lift the Plate LCD B to B Assy.
Remove the Adhesive WR Window Display to use Bamboo

Skewer.
Rotate the Bamboo Skewer to take up the Adhesive WR
Window Display, the Adhesive Window Display Top and the
Adhesive Window Display Bottom.
Note! Make sure to remove all residues of the Adhesive

WR Window Display, the Adhesive Window Display Top
and the Adhesive Window Display Bottom completely
from both Display Assy and unit (Green Highlighted
Area).
Don’t use Isopropyl Alcohol for cleaning.

Disassembly
4.3 Loudspeaker
Remove the Loudspeaker.
Scrap! Don’t reuse the Loudspeaker.
4.4 Plate Display Assy

Remove the 9 of Screw M1.4x4.0 by using the screwdriver
with Bits (JCIS No 0).
Scrap! Don’t reuse the screws!
Remove the Plate BtB Battery.
Disconnect the Battery B to B connector with the Front

Opening Tool.

Remove the Sheet Conductive Vib.
Remove the Screw M1.4x3.0 by using the screwdriver with

Bits (JCIS No 0).
Under the Plate Display Assy the TGF is located yellow

marked position. Insert tool between the Plate Display Assy
and the Holder Main PBA to peel off the TGF. .
Note! Don’t deform The Plate Display Assy.
Remove the Plate Display Assy.

Note! Follow 6 Battery Ruse Instruction. Don’t reuse the
Thermal Gap Filler If you find any damage.

4.5 Battery
Remove the Sheet protection Plate display.
Pull the Adhesive Battery black tab.

Note! Pull the Adhesive Battery horizontally and gently
to avoid cut.
Remove the Battery.

Don’t reuse the Battery. Don’t reuse the Plate Display,
Graphite Camera, the Graphite Plate Display and the
FPC NFC If you find any damage

Remove the Holder Main PBA.
Remove the Sheet Slider MOP as shown procedure.

Disconnect the 2 RF connectors on the PBA complete.
Unlock the Ant WLAN Assy partially as shown.

Disconnect the FPC Relay Assy B to B connector with the

Front Opening Tool.

Straighten the FPC JK Module FPC.
The PBA complete is fixed by 2 hooks on the Cover Main

Assy where is marked by yellow circle.

Insert the Nylon Pointer to unlock the Holder Bottom as

shown.
Remove the Holder Bottom.

Disconnect the Ant WLAN Assy RF connector on the PBA

Sub.
Move the Ant WLAN Assy to the original location.
The PBA Sub is fixed by 1 hook and 1rib on the Cover Main
Assy where is marked by yellow circle.
Remove the PBA Sub as shown.

Peel the FPC Relay Assy gently from the Cover Main
Assy.
Remove the Plate LCD BtB Assy from the Ant Main Assy.
Remove the USB connector.
Remove the Plate LCD BtB Assy.

Remove the Sheet PBA Sub.
Unlock the ZIF connector from yellow circle side.

Remove the Sheet Relay USB.

Adhesive WR Speaker Duct on the Cover Main Assy where
is marked by yellow circle.

Unlock the hook to insert the tool.
Pull the Ant Main Assy and cut the Adhesive WR Speaker
Duct.
Note! Don’t touch the Ant Main Assy and the Cover Main
Assy to avoid damages.

Insert the Bamboo Skewer into the Rolled the Strong brown
Packaging tape.

Pull up the Panel Rear Bottom with the the Strong brown
Packaging tape.
Create gap
Insert the Disassembly sheet. Disassembly Sheet
Slid the Disassembly Sheet as shown then remove the

Panel Rear Bottom.

5.1 Cover Main Assy

Affix the Sheet WR MIC on the Cover Main Assy Top side
and Bottom side.
Press the Sheet WR MIC with finger.
Install the Key Camera and the Key Volume on the Cover
Main Assy.
Install the Gasket Camera and the Gasket Volume on the

Cover Main Assy.

Press the Gasket Camera and the Gasket Volume with

finger.
5.2 Liquid indicator

Affix the Liquid indicator on the Cover Main Assy.
5.3 FPC JK Module

Affix the Adhesive WP Audio Jack on the FPC JK Module.
Install the FPC JK Module on the unit.

Press the FPC JK Module for 10 seconds with finger.
5.4 FICTIVE Front Camera

Install the Holder Front Camera on the FICTIVE Front
Camera.
5.5 FICTIVE Camera 24.5M

Install the Holder Main Camera on the FICTIVE Camera
24.5M.
5.6 PBA complete

Install the Holder Sensor on the PBA complete.

Install the Lens Flash on the PBA complete.
Affix the Sheet Guide MOP on the PBA complete as red

line.
Note! Make sure to align the red line as shown
Affix the Adhesive Holder MIC 2nd on the PBA complete.
Install the Holder MIC 2nd on the PBA complete.

Press the Holder MIC 2nd for 10 seconds with finger.
Install the Shield Camera Main on the Holder Top Assy.
Install the Holder Top Assy on the PBA complete.
Install the FICTIVE Front Camera and the FICTIVE

Camera 24.5M on the PBA complete.

Connect the FICTIVE Front Camera B to B and the

FICTIVE Camera 24.5M B to B to the PBA complete.
Place the PBA complete.

Note! Don’t touch except yellow circle area.
Insert the FPC JK Module FPC to between the PBA

complete and the Holder Top Assy
Install the PBA complete as shown procedure.

Connect the FPC JK Module B to B to the PBA complete.
5.7 FP Sensor Assy

Install the FP Sensor Assy on the unit.
Press the FP Sensor Assy with finger.
5.8 FPC Key Assy

Put the Plate Holder Key on the FPC Key Assy.

Reassembly
Connect the FPC Key Assy to the FP Sensor Assy.
Fold the FPC Key Assy FPC around FP sensor B to B as

shown.
Install the FPC Key Assy on the unit.

Note! Make sure the Screw holes alignment.
If reuse the Cover Main Assy, affix the Adhesive FPC
Key first.
Connect the FPC Key Assy B to B to the PBA complete.

Affix the FPC Key Assy Vib and FPC on the unit.
Note! Make sure Alignment the FPC Key Assy

Pull the Release sheet under the FPC Key Assy to affix on
the Cover Main Assy.
5.9 Speaker
Affix the Adhesive WR Speaker Bottom on the Speaker.

Note! Especially take care the Spring pin on another
side.
Affix the Spacer Ant Main PBA Spring on the PBA Ant.

5.11 Ant Main Assy

Affix the Cushion Holder MIC 1st on the Ant Main Assy.
Press the Cushion Holder MIC 1st with finger.
Affix the Cushion Ant Main on the yellow marked area of

the Ant Main Assy.
Install the Speaker on the Ant Main Assy.

Affix the Sheet PBA Sub A on the PBA Sub.

Install the Holder MIC 1st Assy on the PBA Sub.

Assemble hook as first and then insert pin.
5.14 FPC Relay Assy

Connect and lock the PBA Sub ZIF to the FPC Relay Assy.
Affix the Sheet PBA Sub on the FPC Relay Assy.

Insert the FPC Relay Assy USB to the unit.
Fix the PBA Sub 1 hook and 3 ribs on the Cover Main Assy.
Install the Plate LCD B to B on the Cover Main Assy.
Connect the FPC Relay B to B to the PBA complete.

Note! Make sure to align the dots on the Plate Display.
5.16 Battery
The Battery is installed on the Plate Display. If the Battery is
not located at correct position, the B to B connector of the
battery will not be able to connect.
Follow the procedure to install the battery on the proper
position of the Plate Display.
In order to install the Battery on the proper position, the unit
is utilized as tool for locating the Battery.
Place the 1st ESD Film on the unit to avoid damages to

the Battery.
Note! Cut the ESD Bag (1240-0884) make two pieces of

Reassembly
Install the Battery on the unit.
Connect the Battery B to B to the PBA complete for

alignment.
Disconnect the Battery B toB from the PBA complete.
Place the 2nd ESD Film on the unit to avoid damages form
the Plate Display to the Battery.

Reassembly
Install the Plate Display Assy on the Battery on the unit.

Note! Make sure to align the 4 screw holes on the unit
and the Plate Display.
Pull the 2nd ESD Film from under the Plate Display assy.
Note! Bring the Plate Display as close as possible to
the 2nd ESD Film to avoid damage to the Battery.
Place the Plate Display Assy on the Battery.
Pull the 1st ESD Film from under the Battery.

Reassembly
Remove the Plate Display assy with the Battery from the
unit.
Note! Avoid damages to the Battery when remove the
Plate Display assy with Battery from the unit.
Set the Press Clamp on the Battery.

Align the Press Clamp with topside of the battery.
Press the Battery for 10 seconds with the Press Clamp.
Affix the Sheet protection Plate display on the Battery and

the Plate Display Assy.
Thermal Gap Filler

Prepare the new Thermal Gap Filler Syringe and
Thermal Gap Filler Tube.

Reassembly
Open the embedded Thermal Gap Filler instruction in

attachment, and make sure to go through it prior to use!

Confirm the expiration date that is stamped at the Thermal

Gap Filler Tube end.
Life is 6 month after manufacturing.

Ex) Lot.59O = Manufacturing date is September 24th 2015.
Open the tube with cap head

Material will start to set once it is exposed to air.
Scrap! Thermal Gap Filler Tube cannot be used in 24h
after opening.
Fill the contents of the tube in to the syringe from the end of
the syringe.
Once filled in the syringe, must use within 1 hour.
Scrap! Thermal Gap Filler Syringe cannot be used 1hour
after filling.

Reassembly
Make sure the contents reach up to the tip of the syringe

and a small amount of the contents flows out as air is
released.
Wipe off the tip before using.
Applying volume for one unit is 0.07 ml.
Carefully apply the Thermal Gap Filler to center of red

hatched area.
The Plate Display Assy installing must be done
immediately after applied Thermal Gap Filler (within 5
minutes).

Reassembly
Wipe off the tip of the syringe until next repair.

Scrap! Don’t refill the Thermal Gap Filler to the used
syringe.
Next time you use, let a small amount of contents flow out
and wipe off the tip again.
Place the 1st ESD Film on the unit to avoid damages to the
Battery.
Note! Cut the ESD Bag to make the ESD Film that size
75mm x 145mm.
Install the Plate Display Assy with the Battery on the unit.
Note! Make sure to align the 4 screw holes on the unit
and the Plate Display.

Reassembly
Put the Press spacer on the Plate Display Assy.

Press the Press spacer with finger.
Note! Make sure the Plate Display flatness around the
TGF.

Tighten Screw M1.4 x 4.0 by using the screwdriver with Bits

(JCIS No 0).
Torque : 12Ncm±1.01
Press the Press spacer with finger during tightening.
Note! Don’t tighten the Plate Battery B to B Screw.
Connect the Battery B to B to the PBA complete.
Install the Plate BtB Battery on the unit.
Tighten Screw M1.4 x 4.0 by using the screwdriver with Bits

(JCIS No 0).

Install the Holder Bottom Assy on the unit.
Install the Cable Clip Bottom on the unit.
Tighten Screw M1.4x3.0 by using the screwdriver with Bits

(JCIS No 0).
Tighten Screw M1.4x3.0 by using the screwdriver with Bits

(JCIS No 0).

Affix the Sheet Conductive Vib on the unit.
Affix the Sheet RF Cable Left on the unit.
5.17 Display Assy

Remove the Adhesive BL Display with Film.
Note! If the Adhesive BL Display is not attached on the
new part of Display Assy. You can use it as is (no
require to remove the Adhesive BL Display)
Remove the Adhesive BL Display to use Bamboo Skewer.

Rotate the Bamboo Skewer to take up the Adhesive BL
Display.

Note! Make sure to remove all residues of the Adhesive

BL Display completely from the Display Assy (Green
Highlighted Area).
Don’t use Isopropyl Alcohol.
Affix the Sheet Graphite LCD on the Display Assy.
Place the Adhesive WR Speaker Bottom on the Adhesive

Position Pin Fixture.

Remove the Sheet on the Adhesive WR Speaker Bottom.
Put the Holder Speaker Top Assy on the Adhesive Position

Pin Fixture and affix the Adhesive WR Speaker Bottom
on bottom side of the Holder Speaker Top Assy
Remove the Holder Speaker Top Assy from the Adhesive

Affix the Adhesive Window Display Top on the Display

Remove the Film of the Sheet Net Speaker Top.

Set the Guide for the Holder Speaker Top Assy.
Install the Holder Speaker Top Assy on the Display Assy.
Affix the Adhesive Window Display Bottom on the Display

Adhesive Position Pin Fixture.

5.18 Loud Speaker

Install the Loudspeaker on the Holder Speaker Top Assy.
Press the Speaker for 10 seconds with finger.
Place the Adhesive WR Window Display on the Window

panel Adhesive Fixture.

Affix the Adhesive WR Window Display on the unit with the

Window panel Adhesive Fixture.
Note! Make sure correct direction.
Connect the Display Assy B to B to the unit.

Install the Holder LCD B to B on the unit.
Install the Display Assy on the unit.

5.19 Cap Tray Assy

Insert the Cap Tray Assy to the unit
Affix the Sheet WR Test on the unit.
Affix the Adhesive Panel Rear Bottom on the Panel Rear

Bottom.

Reassembly
Place the unit on the Bottom Press Inlay.

Note! Make sure the unit is placed on the correct position as
shown.
Insert the Top Press Inlay to the Generic Press Tool.

Press it with pressure value of 950N (+/- 50N) for 13 second

twice.

mechanical and document Toothed Rack Press
Instruction for use.
Reassembly
Remove the Bottom Press Inlay and take out the unit.
Affix the Label NFC location as shown.

Make sure that Label NFC is placed on the correct position

6 Battery Reuse Instruction

If you intend to reuse the Battery, carefully follow the Battery Reuse Instruction.
If it is failed, Don’t reuse, and Scrap the Battery.
6.1 Battery Handling Notices

Don’t damage the battery foil with sharp objects.
Don’t twist or deform the battery in any way.
If the battery is dropped to floor, should not be used,
and scrap.
Reuse conditions
- In case of removing the Battery with Plate Display
Assy as shown.
- Battery appearance check is OK.

Check if any damages on the battery such as Winkle, Mark, Bubble, Dent, and/or Scratch.
If it is out of below specification, do not reuse, and scrap the battery.

Hung the Vacuum Cup for tool on the Panel Front

Turn the lever to pull up the display.

Wait until it opens the Display Assy.

Provide Disassembly Sheet to cut the Adhesive WR Window

Under the Display the Graphite Camera, the Graphite Plate

The Loudspeaker is located at yellow marked position.

Insert the Disassembly Sheet into the between display

Remove the unit from the Panel Front Disassembly Tool.

Slide the Disassembly Sheet along both sides of the Display

4.4 Plate Display Assy

Remove the Plate BtB Battery.

Disconnect the Battery B to B connector with the Front

Remove the Sheet Conductive Vib.

Remove the Screw M1.4x3.0 by using the screwdriver with

Pull the Adhesive Battery black tab.

Remove the Battery.

4.6 PBA complete

Remove the Sheet Slider MOP as shown procedure.

Unlock the Ant WLAN Main as shown.

Remove the Ant WLAN Main,

Disconnect the 2 RF connectors on the PBA complete.

Unlock the Ant WLAN Assy partially as shown.

Move the Ant WLAN Assy as shown.

Disconnect the FPC Relay Assy B to B connector with the
