Over the course of a little more than a century, the nursing profession has
undergone a number of changes in various parts of the world, with undeniable
advancements noted in the academic community. However, the shape and trends of
the globalization process in contemporary society impose new and significant
challenges for nursing in the twenty-first century. These challenges are primarily the
result of numerous and rapid changes occurring across a wide range of industries,
which have a significant impact on the nursing profession. As a result, current
nursing practices must adapt to external factors such as technological
advancements. This, among other things, is driving current trends in nursing
program.
In line with globalization trends, the nursing community has taken an increasingly
important and leading role in nursing education all over the world. To this end, they
have developed a number of adjustments, including new learning modalities for
nursing students, a more innovative teaching approach, an emerging nursing
education theory, and more effective evidence-based practice research, etc. This
makes more student nurses competent and efficient. The nursing profession has
been able to adapt to the demands and realities of globalization relatively quickly
thanks to modern technology, particularly in terms of gearing up student nurses to
provide the best care to clients/patients in light of the new changes.
