FOUNDED IN 1989, Pacific Business & Law Institute’s mission is to develop legal, business and political

solutions for professionals, business people and government officials. We are the largest independent program
organization based in Western Canada, offering approximately forty program days per year in locations
throughout Canada.
PROGRAM PRODUCER
Camille Israël, B.A., J.D. Director of Programming

Ms. Israël joined PBLI in 2018 as Programming Lawyer, and became Director of Programming in 2020. Prior
to joining PBLI, Ms. Israël practised Aboriginal law in Victoria, BC, specializing in band governance, consulta-
tion, specific claims, and treaty implementation. She has also been involved in the organization of a number
of events, lectures and conferences. She received her J.D. from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the Uni-
versity of British Columbia in 2013, and she also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Anthropology) from UBC, and stud-
ied piano performance at the École de Musique Vincent d’Indy in Montreal. She currently volunteers as a
Brownie leader with the Girl Guides of Canada. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, watching hockey, and
hiking.

attend any of our Indigenous programs.
• PBLI is affiliated with The Summit Institute, a leading non-profit programming organization dealing
exclusively with public policy issues.
• PBLI faculty have included Cabinet Ministers, Indigenous leaders and experts in various areas of law.
