Rationale Action Plan

Induction is an umbrella term for the supports put in a place to assist teachers in adapting
to a new workplace culture. Induction goes beyond understanding students, classes and
curriculum. Information about the TIP program and processes that guide the workplace,
as well as school norms, are integral for teachers to settle in and feel confident, however
it’s important to keep in mind the pace at which this is done. The TIP cultivates
continuance growth, and success as a new teacher’s transition into school with support to
begin an effective teaching career. The TIP will accelerate professional growth, teacher
effectiveness and improve student learning. The induction program will provide support
for as a newly hired teachers with the opportunities for collaboration with peers,
professional learning to promote positive outcomes in the classroom that benefits all
stakeholders.

Objectives of the Action 1. Attend the TIP session regularly and


complete the program.
2. Apply in the classroom what is learned in
the TIP session.
3. Submit TIP portfolio to the School Head.
