One mans opinion of how the teams rank going into the season based on preseason team camps.

CLASS AA

CBA: Looking to expand on a solid 2010 season under second-year coach Joe Burke. Shaker: A 6-0 start ended with an 0-3 finish, providing ample motivation.

Jon Martin, Sr., Bethlehem: Tremendous kicker and punter connected on a 49-yard field goal in 2010 and is drawing Division I interest.

Mark Thomas, Sr.,

David Morrison, Jr., Shaker:

CBA at Shenendehowa, Oct. 8: The Empire Division title race likely will be shaped by this result, plus this will be the final regular-season home game in the illustrious coaching career of Shen coach (and CBA graduate) Brent Steuerwald.

Matthias McKinnon, Sr.,

Bishop Maginn: Has started at defensive back since his freshman season and is one of the premier running backs in Section II. Gloversville: Defense may not be the teams strong suit this season but Oathout is capable of putting up points with his feet and arm. Burnt Hills: The four-year varsity starter at linebacker was a firstteam all-state selection as a junior.

Queensbury at Amsterdam, Friday: If you like hard-hitting football, this contest should not disappoint. Lansingburgh at Averill Park,
