For example: In this interactive white board activity, the children will touch the board to
move and sort authors by time period and learn about literary genres.
Activity In this learning activity, the teacher will be using a lesson
PowerPoint made on Classflow, in order to successfully achieve
the standards of learning about the American Revolution for a
sixth-grade class. The Classflow PowerPoint will be displayed
on the teacher's new interactive whiteboard. As the teacher
goes through the Classflow PowerPoint students will have the
chance to come up and drag images and descriptions to the
correct match. The Classflow PowerPoint includes cause and
effects of the American Revolution, important vocabulary
regarding the American Revolution, important battles during
the American Revolution, and influential people during the
American Revolution. This content is all displayed in question
format, but in an interactive way in which students answer the
question by dragging and matching answers. To keep students
focused on the content, the teacher will print out a matching
work sheet to go along with the Classflow PowerPoint to
ensure the students are engaged even when it is not their turn
to come up to the board. Because this is information is
dragging answers, it would be best used as a review for
students. After the class ends, the Classflow PowerPoint will be
uploaded online so students have access to it to review and
study. Additionally, students have the worksheet that goes
along with the Classflow PowerPoint to review as well if they
do not have access online. This activity is to help students
review the key factors about the American Revolutions, while
also interacting with the new technology (being the interactive
whiteboard) in the classroom.
