MUSEUMS AND GALLERIES ETIQUETTES

● Do not touch anything.

This is the most basic thing to do but the most important one for the artist and the
art. To avoid incidents, keep your hands to yourself and just use your eyes to
admire and analyze the art works.

● Be quiet.
It's a respect to other people who are also in the museum. It's giving yourself and
others the experience of appreciating the arts more.

● Do not block the art.

Let other people see the art too. Avoid getting close to the art work.

● Do not lean on anything.

Walls in the museum are not to lean for.

● No food and drinks.

It's an art museum and not a mall, cinema, etc. where food and drinks are
allowed. It keeps the vicinity spotless and clean because sometimes people tend
to leave their trash anywhere.

● Do not use flash.

When taking photos do not use flash that may cause distraction for others.
Sometimes flash can also ruin the material of an art.

● Avoid bringing bulky bags.

Bringing no bags prevents accidents like bumping into art works that are installed
upward from the floor. It can also hinder you from walking around freely.

● Do not talk over the phone.

It's a respect to others in the museum to keep your noise to a minimum.

● Do not bring pets.

Sometimes we can't control our pets from being hyper and they will start running
around, especially dogs. Much better to not bring them to prevent accidents
inside the museum and noises from them.
