NAME OF THE ACTIVITY: DISTRICT-BASED CIRCULO ENTABLADO (Singing Contest)

ACTIVITY
Description: In reference to DepEd Order No. 22 s. 2017 and with the continued Women Empowerment
programs of DEPED Samar Division, Basey II District LISTO conducted the District-Based Circulo
Entablado for Singing Contest Category hosted by Dolongan Elem. School Brgy. Dolongan Basey,
Samar.
The following are the specific objectives of the activity:
a. To acknowledge women’s contribution and participation in bringing success of all
deliverables of the Basey II District DepEd employees.
b. To celebrate the potentials talents and skills of women and acknowledge them as great
factors in bringing success to the organization; and
c. To advocate women participation, empowerment, and equal opportunity for all.
PRELIMINARIES
The activity commenced with the welcoming of the guests and donning of leis, signing of
attendance, wearing of face mask and observing health protocols mandated by the IATF
against COVID-19.
It was followed by the opening program at exactly 1:30 in the afternoon. Singing of the
National Anthem through multimedia presentation was conducted, followed by a Prayer,
Singing of Basey II LISTO Hymn, and a Body Conditioning.
DESIGN METHODOLGY OF THE EVENT (PROCEEDINGS)
The Principal I of Dolongan Elem. School and a District Gender and Development (GAD)
Overseer, Ms. Renelia C. Amascual, enthusiastically welcomed the District-In-Charge, Ms. Alexandra
N. Pelareja, the guests, teaching-and non-teaching staff of Dolongan ES and the participants of the
singing contest coming from the different schools in the district. Ms. Alexandra N. Pelareja, the District-
In-Charge of Basey II LISTO District, delivered her motivational speech. "Many are called, but few were
chosen," she cited. Meanwhile, the District GAD Coordinator, Miss Richelle D. Paca-anas, individually
introduced the panel of judges, which included, Mr. Ladimir Tualla, Music Director of Latter-Day Saints
in Jaro Leyte, Ms. Erlinda E. Dimson, Teacher-In-Charge of Tinaogan ES, Ms. Ma. Rosalie G. Alberto,
Master Teacher II and a TIC of Sawa ES, Ms. Letecia C. Gaddi, Head Teacher III of Buenavista ES,
Ms. Renelia C. Amascual, Principal I of Dolongan ES and the District-In-Charge, Ms. Alexandra N.
Pelareja, as the Chairman of the Board of Judges. Miss Paca-anas also gave the Criteria of the Singing
Contest category. Then, Mr. Remart G. Gravoso, the activity’s master of ceremony formally opened the
second part of the program. The initial round of performers were as follows.

 Ms. Lurrymie T. Malatbalat- Teacher III, Dolongan ES
 Ms. Leah Z. Garciano- TIC, May-it ES
After performing the first three participants, Ms. Rona G. Castillo, Master Teacher II of Dolongan Elem.
School, took the stage with her very entertaining intermission number. Ms. Cora L. Bocabo, Teacher III
of Dolongan ES, gave another surprised performance, after which, the second group of participants
began to perform. Ms. Margarita Amascual, a Teacher in Old San Agustin NHS, sang her empowering
song. Ms. Roselyn G. Amazona of Buenavista ES then shared one of her favorite songs entitled “You
Made Me Stronger”, and Ms. Ethel A. Calipayan, a teacher in Bulao ES, went on to do the same.
Finally, Ms. Maria Regine B. Relevo performed the song of her choice.
While the District GAD Coordinator tabulated the results, Mr. Ladimir Tualla, Member of the Panel
of Judges, then entertained the “madlang pipol” by singing majestically to his selected melody. Ms.
Alexandra N. Pelareja, District-In-Charge, then awarded each participant with a certificate of
participation, appreciation, and recognition, assisted by Ms. Renelia C. Amascual. Following that, the
winner was announced. Ms. Margarita Amascual won first place, followed by Ms. Ethel A. Calipayan in
second place, and Ms. Leah Z. Garciano in third place.
Finally, the District GAD Coordinator, formally concluded the program by delivering the take-home
message and photo opportunity followed after. Miss Paca-anas expressed gratitude for the presence of
the DIC and visitors, as well as the unwavering support of the host school's teaching and non-teaching
personnel. “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success”
she quoted,
MANAGEMENT AND MONITORING STRATEGIES
To oversee and assure the appropriate conduct of the activity for the District-Based Circulo
Entablado Singing Contest Category, the District GAD Overseer, District GAD Coordinator, and the
assigned team meticulously planned and executed the activity.

 The activity yielded the District Representative for the Division Circulo Entablado Singing
Category.
 Complete package documentation for the District-Based Ciculo Entablado.

 Seek assistance from the District Overseer and Teaching and Non-teaching staff of the host
school.
