Radiology Result
Date: March 28, 2023
Cranial CT Scan:
Multiple plain axial images of the head were obtained
A large area of hypodensity is seen involving the right parietal lobe
Simultaneously, a medium sized, low attenuation density is seen involving the right
parieto-occipital lobe.
No intra cranial hemorrhage, mass density or calcification noted
In the rest of the cerebral & cerebellar parenchyma, peripheral sulci are diffusely
accentuated
Ventricles are not dilated
The internal carotid arteries are calcified
Midline structures are not displayed
Secretions are not seen within the ethmoid sinus
Sella, petromastoid & orbits are unremarkable
Impression:
- Acute cerebrovascular infarct, right middle cerebral artery distribution
- Old infarct, right parieto-occipital lobe
- Diffuse cerebral artery
- Ethmoid sinusitis
- Atherosclerotic internal carotid arteries
