Mariana pajón

Mariana Pajón Londoño, ODB (Medellín; October 10, 1991) is an athlete, cyclist, BMX rider, silver
medalist and double Olympic gold medalist, commonly nicknamed "the queen of BMX". 1

She is recognized for being number one in the UCI world ranking, gold medalist in the Rio 2016
Olympic Games and London 2012 Olympic Games, being the only Colombian athlete to achieve a
double Olympic championship. Mariana is the first Latin American woman to win two Olympic gold
medals in an individual sport.

For being Olympic champion at the London Games, the Colombian government decorated her with
the Order of Boyacá; in addition to being a two-time Olympic champion, Mariana has won several
world, national, U.S., Latin American and Pan American championships, among others. In 2016, the
city of Medellín inaugurated the Mariana Pajón BMX Supercross Track with her name.
