III. OBJECTIVES:
To give orientation on the nature, scope and rationale of the tree planting
program to students for familiarity and to stimulate students love for tree planting.
To increase trees into our community and;
to give shade and protect the soil from erosion and to contribute to global warming.
IV.
Target Place: Vacant lot spaces of the Campos
Date: Whole month of April
Participants: College of Education Students
Materials: Seedling (fruit trees), bolo, bamboo stick, Water supply, maintenance materials.
V. PROCESS:
The process of the program has four phases, the first phase (preparing the lot), include locating
for a free lot space, after successfully locating is a cleaning and freeing and cultivating the lot
that aims to plant the tree freely and easy, to have clean surroundings to grow tree well. This
phase reminds all tree planters the right way of planting. The second phase (preparing the
seedlings) is a finding and collecting of seedlings, in this phase lot of time is spent. This phase
aims to provide a good variety of trees. The third phase (executing or planting), is the main
object of this plan or its climax, this phase is the digging and planting the collected trees to be
planted may vary at every two succeeding similar tree. The final phase (maintaining and
caring), includes watering, cleaning if needed, re-cultivating. This aims to properly grew the tree
planted until they bear and finally harvest.
A space becomes greener when a tree or plant seed grows in it. It also accommodates a variety of
living types. Several creatures and reptiles reside on it or nearby, including birds that build their
nests there. Despite all these lovely flowers, food is growing on them. Furthermore, numerous
tree components, including the roots, leaves, stem, flowers, and seeds, are edible. Most
importantly, they provide their skills and goods without ever expecting anything in return.
Moreover, trees maintain the ecology and ecosystem's equilibrium. To sum up, we may say that
trees are crucial and advantageous to all living forms on earth. Without them, life on Earth would
struggle to survive, and eventually every species would begin to perish due to a lack of oxygen
on the planet. Thus, we must study the value of trees and impart that knowledge to our offspring
in order to preserve our life and ensure our survival. So, plant trees now!!
