Course outcomes:
To obtain detailed understanding of extraction theory to apply in
industry.
• Students should able to solve the problems related to process
metallurgy, analysis and characterization
• Applications of these courses in interdisciplinary domains:
Extraction of nonferrous metals using the basic theory of
Hydrometallurgy, Pyrometallurgy and Electrometallurgy.
• Any important projections from these courses
➢ precious metal extraction from waste electric and electronic
equipment (Printed circuit boards, etc),
➢ enrichment of lean mineral and ore to make it usable for extraction
➢ environment friendly processing using bioleaching techniques
