This document establishes procedures for operating, calibrating, and maintaining a pH meter used in a water laboratory. The responsibilities include the chemist, lab manager, and quality manager. The procedure describes operating the instrument, calibrating it weekly using buffer solutions of 4.0, 7.0, and 9.2, and maintaining it by cleaning regularly and scheduling preventive maintenance. Calibration is required to ensure accurate sample measurement. Instrument details like the model, serial number, and identification number are also provided.
