Door Panel Removal
Door Panel Removal on the right front door of a 2007
Sorento. The other door panels are pretty similar.

Tools needed:
­Philips Screwdriver
­Flathead Screwdriver

1. Remove the 4 philips plastic screws along with the
plastic anchors in the next two pics.

2. Remove the philips screw then the plastic trim behind
the handle.

3. Remove the rubber piece in the bottom of this
pocket/handle. A small flat head screwdriver is helpful on
getting a grip on it.
4. Remove the philps screw in the bottom of that
pocket/handle.
 

5. Remove the silver piece of trim on the handle with a
small flat head screwdriver.
 
6. Remove the two philips screws in that same handle.
 
7. That handle will now pull off, set it aside. Just make
sure you don't break the tab that's at the bottom of it.
 

8. Remove the tweeter. The black plastic trim pops off
with the tweeter. I had enough grip to remove it with my
fingers. I didn't unhook the wiring as mine's long enough
to set inside on the dash while working on the door.
 

9. Now it's time to remove the door panel. I find the best
way to start unhooking it is by getting a grip pointed out
in the pic below. Once you get it started its pretty easy
from there. You'll hear popping noises. Its the anchors on
the back side of the panel pulling away from the door
skin itself.
 
 10. Once the panel has been completely unhooked you'll
need to unhook the wiring from the courtesy light and the
power window/door lock.
