Date: September 12, 2022 For this day I continued the finishing the power point presentation on the

understanding thermodynamics. Temperature, pressure, and internal energy are
some fundamental concepts that characterize the microscopic characteristics of a
system. It's important to comprehend a system's characteristics, but even more
important is the way this energy is transferred to other systems a process known
as heat transfer. Scientists developed the four laws of thermodynamics after
analyzing these concepts.

The science of thermodynamics examines the relationships between heat, work,

and temperature as well as how these variables interact with energy, radiation,
and the physical characteristics of matter. The transference of energy from place
to place and from one form to another is referred to as thermodynamics, in its
broadest sense. There are certain terminologies that are associated with
thermodynamics. A complete understanding of the fundamental concepts
guarantees a solid comprehension of the many issues covered in thermodynamics,
 preventing any misunderstandings. Nearly all of thermodynamics' pioneers were
inclined to turn their field of study into a dynamical application. They have
attempted to derive the theorems of thermodynamics from the theorems of
rational mechanics by viewing heat as a very small and rapid motion of the
particles that make up a body, temperature as the average kinetic energy of this
motion, and changes in physical state as changes in characteristic elements of this
motion.

Date: September 13, 2022 For this day I was tasked to do a Review of Related Literature synthesis regarding
Time In: 8am Smart Cities. I then proceeded to search at google scholar regarding all related
Time Out: 5pm literature in Smart cities. While doing this research I had to take into account the
Hour Spent: 9 keywords Sir Umali assigned in the Review of Related Literature. A detailed
assessment of prior studies on a subject is called a literature review (Review of

Edward B.O. Ang Related Literature). The literature review examines scholarly books, journals, and
other sources that are pertinent to a particular field of study. This prior research
should be listed, described, summed up, impartially evaluated, and clarified in the
Supervisor/Trainer review. It needs to provide a theoretical framework for the study and assist you
(the author) in defining its scope. By acknowledging the contributions of earlier

researchers, the literature review reassures the reader that your work has been
thoughtfully conceived. When a previous study in the subject is mentioned, it is
assumed that the author has read, assessed, and incorporated that study into the
current work.

The review of related literature acts as a "landscape" for the reader, giving them a
thorough understanding of the advances in the field. The author has clearly
assimilated all (or the vast majority) of earlier, significant works in the area into
their own work, as the reader can tell from this landscape. The review of related
literature must be defined by a guiding concept (for example, your research
objective, the issue one is discussing, or one’s thesis). It is not just a type of list of
the available material, or a set of summaries. The purpose of writing the literature
review is to communicate to the readers what knowledge and ideas have been
cemented on a certain topic, as well as what their strengths and weaknesses are.
 Writing a Review of Related Literature is often viewed as a routine task or merely
a formality by authors of publications. A seasoned one, however, is aware of the
significance and use of a well-written literature review. Since it is one of the
fundamental requirements for research at all levels, it must be carried out
carefully. At that point then the reader, be able to tell that the fundamentals of
the research were not overlooked.

Date: September 14, 2022 For this day I continued doing the Review of Related Literature regarding smart
Time In: 8am cities. A municipality is referred to as a "smart city" if it uses information and
Time Out: 5pm communication technology (ICT) to improve administrative efficiency,
Hour Spent: 9 communicate information to the public, raise the bar for public services, and
improve the welfare of its citizens. While the exact definition varies, a smart city's

Edward B.O. Ang main objective is to use cutting-edge technology and data analysis to optimize local
operations, promote economic growth, and improve the quality of life for people.
The value of the smart city depends on how it uses technology, not just how much
Supervisor/Trainer of it it may have.

A smart city's ability to create a strong partnership between the public and
commercial sectors, particularly in terms of regulations and bureaucracy, is crucial
to its success. This cooperation is crucial since most of the work needed to create
and maintain a digital, data-driven infrastructure is done outside of the
government. The surveillance system for congested streets may include sensors
from one company, cameras from another, and a server from a third company. I
was able to finish the Review of Related Literature Synthesis and I was able to pass
it to Sir Umali.
 After finishing the Review of Related Literature Synthesis, I then proceeded to
monitor the forms and the excel file for the rest of the day while waiting for Sir
Umali’s input on my finished task. Some students were messaging me to update
their submission, either changing their topic, rearranging their groupings, adding
their chosen adviser, and re-confirmation of their submission in the forms. No
further tasks were given to me at this day so while waiting for Sir Umali’s input on
the Review of Related Literature Synthesis, I reviewed some of the material I
searched regarding smart cities because I am personally interested in this subject.

Date: September 15, 2022 For this day I proceeded address numerous student concerns regarding
Time In: 8am scheduling, choosing topic, undecided group formation of the thesis enrolled
Time Out: 5pm students. I was able to received sir Umali’s input regarding the Review of Related
Hour Spent: 9 Literature and he then gave instructions for me to add more sources to be able to
broaden the concept of smart cities. Generally speaking, a smart city is one that

Edward B.O. Ang employs technology to deliver services and address urban issues. A smart city
works to enhance social services, promote sustainability, and offer its residents a
Supervisor/Trainer voice, among other things. The idea of "smart cities" is not a new concept,
although the phrase is. Elements of the idea were actually used in ancient Roman
Professor Ricky D. Umali cities, such as harnessing technology to improve the lives of its residents. They did
this by building aqueducts and water drainage systems, to name only two. The
major objectives of a smart city are to increase social inclusion, enhance policy
effectiveness, decrease waste and annoyance, and promote social and economic
quality.
 After the Review of Related Literature, I then proceeded to answer some questions
regarding on how to proceed in the thesis after their formation of groups. As most
of the students currently enrolled are new to the thesis most of them were not
well informed due to current pandemic as they were not able to go in the school
grounds. Communication may have been easy through social media and online
tools provided by the school, but it is also important for students to have actual
interactions with their fellow students as they can share information off-handedly
with each other.

No more tasks were assigned to me at this day so I then proceeded to monitor the
forms and poll for updates. I also checked my Mendeley for the sources I saved
just in case Sir Umali requires me to send him the sources for the Review of Related
Literature.

Date: September 16, 2022 For this day, was given the Final Manuscripts of all the previous term students who
Time In: 8am were able to present their thesis in the thesis colloquium. I was instructed by Sir
Time Out: 5pm Umali to read and sort these manuscripts based on the general topic it covers and
Hour Spent: 9 then proceed to view whether it can be included on the conference of HNICEM.
He then instructed me to sort these manuscripts in an excel file he made sorting

Edward B.O. Ang by name, topic it covers, the conference in can be included, and the date. I have
Supervisor/Trainer to finish this as early as possible as the conference of HNICEM has a submission
deadline by September 20, 2022.

I was able to see all these completed theses and I was amazed by the creativity
and ability of my fellow students in doing their thesis. The most significant
document in a researcher's career is their thesis. The quality of the thesis you
present as a researcher will be one of the most important evaluating factors for
earning a doctoral degree. Not only is thesis writing important, but it may also be
challenging to produce a well-written, interesting thesis that justifies the several
hours of effort and study that went into the project. Additionally, there are specific
rules that various colleges and institutes specify, and the researcher finds it
difficult to write inside these constraints very frequently. As a result, either the
thesis' quality suffers, or the due date is missed. In addition to being challenging,
writing a thesis is a drawn-out procedure with many intricate rules to adhere to.
The first step in the process is choosing a topic that is appropriate for your field,
original, and worthy of research. As the papers given to me by Sir Umali were
many, I was not able to complete this task for the they as he also gave me another
task.
 In continuation Sir Umali then gave me the task to make another group chat on his
ME131-2 (Thermodynamics 1) subject this task required a certain amount of time
as I had to individually add all students from the list. I could not copy paste each
student’s name because the list Sir Umali gave me was only an image.
