Batch Task
The following forces act at a point :
(i) 25 N inclined at 30° towards North of East,
(ii) 35 N towards North,
83B (iii) 35 N towards North West, and
(iv) 45 N inclined at 40° towards South of West.
Find the magnitude and direction of the resultant force.
83C+ Find the centre of gravity of an T-section with top flange 200 mm × 20
Miscellaneous mm, web 100 mm × 30 mm and bottom flange 200 mm × 40 mm.
Calculate the moment of inertia of an I-section having equal flanges 30
83D+84B mm × 10 mm and web also 30 mm × 10 mm about an axis passing
through its centre of gravity and parallel to X-X and Y-Y axes.
A body of weight 50 N is hauled along a rough horizontal plane by a pull
83E of 18 N acting at an angle of 14° with the horizontal. Find the coefficient
of friction.
A beam AB 6 m long rests on two supports 4 m apart, the right hand end
is overhanging by 2 m. The beam carries a uniformly distributed load of
83F+84C 1 kN/m over the entire length of the beam.
