Without his love for the country, just ask yourself

I believe that Rizal Law was proposed and passed for nothing.

“History repeats itself.” As other people believe in. However, through proper
knowledge, awareness, and understanding

Significance of studying the course

History and the past will always be significant. We learn from it. All I can say is the
Philippines, in terms of the negative side of culture had barely improved for the better.
A lot of Filipinos still retain the old negative ways during the times of Rizal. Well, the
Spaniards are long gone, but still, some of the “social cancers” persists.

Let me ask you this? Why is the Philippine educational system still lecturing the Life and
works of Rizal? Take Rizal out of the picture or maybe all of the Heroes and characters in
our history, Lets say, take them all out of the picture. They are all, already insignificant.
Why bother lecturing about their exploits and contribution as to why we are all now
standing here, free of tyranny, educated and gainfully employed. What will remain? Say,
we stop lecturing about them beginning the last 2 generations till present, What do you
think will happen to our sense of nationalism? We have no history. What are we?

If for example, the exact same thing will happen in the future, only this time, its the
chekwas and not the Spaniards. What will we do? how did our ancestors do it?

Our history will always reflect who and what we are. Lest we forget, where we came
from.

This is to give the students and the future generations an ample background and for
them to understand about how Jose Rizal hands over his life for our country.

It serves as a reminder that no matter how hard it is, they should never give up on
fighting for what they believe in. It also serves as a reminder that they should always be
grateful for all the things they have right now because thei ancestors fought really hard
for it.
The Rizal Course also helps Filipinos realize that no matter how hard life is right now,
there are still people who are experiencing worse than them and it’s not an excuse to
stop believing in themselves or stop trying or giving up on something we believe in.

Rizal course impact to students:

1. It can increase the value of being a filipino and it can help them to be patriotic and
love their country.

2. It can help them to see that there are people in the past who did something for their
nation.

3. They will have knowledge about the life of their national hero, Jose Rizal which they
can use in their future life.

4. They will know more about the history of their country that they learn from others
who had been studying about it long time ago.

The wounds made by verbal weapons wont heal easily, it creates more damage than
that of the sword do. If all the youth inherits this patriotism for our beloved country, I
believe it will create a non-stop cycle of dignified youths that know and fight for what
they truly believe in,
