This Europe Political Map depicts the geographical boundaries
of all the European countries, along with their national capitals,
and other primary cities. Country capitals are noted in red, and
the international borders of all 50 sovereign states, and five with
limited recognition, that make up Europe are shown on the
Europe Map. Covering about 2% of the earth’s surface, Europe is
the second smallest continent in the world, with a total area
cover of 3.93 million square miles. shows the countries of Europe
along with capital cities, major cities, islands, oceans, seas, and
gulfs.

Oceania has less landmass.

Iberian Peninsula

- Located on the southwestern tip of the European

continent,the Iberian Peninsula , includes the countries of

Andora,Portugal and Spain, and the British Crown colony

of Gibraltar.

- The countries of Portugal and Spain are on the Iberian

Peninsula.

- Its name derives from its ancient inhabitants whom the

Greeks called Iberians.


Italian Peninsula

European Plain

- It sweeps from the Pyrenees Mountains on the
French- Spanish border across northern Europe to the
Ural Mountains in Russia.

although a number of highlands are identified within
it.

- Considered the most beautiful


fountain in all of Rome, Italy. Trevi
Fountain features an elaborate stone
sculpture of the papal coat of arms.
It is said that visitors who toss a
coin in the fountain will return to
Rome one day.
Leaning Tower of Pisa

- Known around the globe for its


incredible four- degree tilt that
makes it seem as if the tower is
about to topple over. The
amazing slanted belltower sits
behind Pisa Cathedral and was
built in the Romanesque style.
