GIVE TWO PAGE ABSTRACT OF THE PROJECT (NOT EXCEEDING 450 WORDS, CHARTS/DRAWINGS MAY BE ANNEXED)

Over 1 crore people suffer from arthritis annually in India similarly there are other issues as
well not only with aged people but also with youngsters, common solutions available are
elevator, inclined ramps & escalators but these solutions can only be used in public buildings
with lots of space and not affordable by everyone, however in homes, such a solution cannot
be accommodated because of the costs of setting up these systems. New policies continue to
make newly built areas accessible to disabled, but old buildings are difficult to be rebuilt or
redeveloped, so our proposed solution is “TRIWHEEL with Planetary gear mechanism”.
Components include Platform, DC power supply system, rubber wheels, , DC motors, , control switch.
To create a vehicle that will be able to navigate bumpy terrain and ultimately be able to climb steps, whilst navigating
around otherwise impossible objects. After researching the field of step climbing and all-terrain vehicles we decided upon
designing and building a multi-jointed vehicle that would be able to climb up and down from steps by raising and lowering
its different sections. Using these physical properties we could make the vehicle lift itself off the ground, and eventually
climb steps we devised a list of points outlining the basic behaviors that the vehicle must possess in order for it to be a
success.
Automation can be achieved through computers, motorized, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, etc., of these sources,
motorized form an attractive medium for low cost automation. Automation plays an important role in automobile. Now a
day’s almost all the machines are being atomized in order to product the human being. The automobile vehicle is being
atomized for the following reasons.

• To achieve high safety

• To reduce man power
• To increase the efficiency of the vehicle
• To reduce the work load
• To reduce the fatigue of workers
• To high responsibility
• Less Maintenance cost

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

The D.C motor is coupled to the gear with the help of suitable arrangement. The D.C motor is
draws a power from the battery. The gear is used to reduce the speed of the vehicle so that

increase the torque. The output of the gear power is transferred to the differential unit with
the help of prober coupling arrangement. The gears output is given to the rolling shaft which
two ends connected to the wheels. This project also is used to transfer the different heavy
materials from one place to another place. The material handling tray in fixed at the top of
the stair climbing wheel chair with the help of proper mechanism. Back side wheel is the
driving two wheels to run in step or irregular places in easily.
