some people say that money is the most important factor when choosing a job.

Do you agree or disagree?

-Background information: it is certainly true that money is always a great concern of people in
this modern era.
-Paraphrase the question:
+Some people say that: some assume that.
+Money: salary, the starting wage, payment.
+The most important factor: the most vital/ critical/ most prominent element/ consideration.
(plays the most important role, serve the most important function, function as the crux of
something/ the most decisive factor)
+choosing a job: finding a job, looking for a job (career, occupation, profession).
-outline statement:
+I totally disagree with this idea/ statement because of the following compelling reasons.
+I totally disagree with this idea since I strongly believe that other considerations/ elements
are equally important/ are not less important.

=>together with/ along with the increasing demand of life and the society as a whole, it is
probably true to assume that receiving a substantially high salary is always the desire of
many people. Therefore, many always put greatest emphasis on the value of materials and
money when choosing a career/ an occupation; in other words, salary is always their first and
foremost consideration. Personally, I do not deny the importance of the starting wage when
people find an occupation, I still believe that there are still many other EQUALLY-IMPORTANT
factors that need to be concerned as well.

To begin with, the importance of the starting salary/ wage is obvious/ unquestionable/
unequivocal though it is not the most important factor.

+Salary plays an extremely important role in helping people cover their daily expenditures
(daily expenses/ meet their daily needs).
->job-holders/ employees need to use their wage to meet their daily needs such as
accommodation, food, entertainment, health-care services and education.
->most people consider salary one of the top priorities deciding their choices of job to fulfil
their daily demands as mentioned above.
->Some may encounter a lot of finance-related issues in life if they choose jobs based on non-
financial factors.
+A high salary is also regarded as an enormous source of motivation for people to devote their
best to work. (idea 2).
(Obviously, there is no secret that, it is apparent that, apparently)
->Receiving a good payment brings workers a higher sense of satisfaction and accomplishment
since they can feel like their qualification, competence, dedication, continuous efforts are
acknowledged/ recognized/ appreciated. -> employees will naturally become more engaged
in work as well as feel highly motivated/ encouraged to maintain and improve work for better
productivity and efficiency.
->Therefore, I admit the importance of money in life and its effect in people choices of
occupations.

2. Body 2: other important considerations.

-On the other hand, I do not assume that money is the most decisive factor for one’s decision
because there are still many other equally important considerations.

+Some factors such as personal relationships, and the working environment are extremely
essential and need to be taken into consideration when finding a job.
->to many people, especially the younger generations, having a chance to cooperate with
competitive and experienced colleagues will inspire people a lot as well as help them express
their full potential in work.
->the supportive and wholesome working environment serves an important function in
pushing people to work enthusiastically. Furthermore, the ideal workplace is also a foundation
for job-holders to attain more hands-on experience to better themselves.

more especially, the value of materials and money is nothing to them since their level of
happiness and comfort or accomplishment is largely decided by their dedication and enormous
contribution to the development of the society as a whole.

(if money is everything, the number of illegal activities will keep mounting up since people can
gain a lot of profit from human trafficking, ….)
