GET TO KNOW THE PEACHY UNDIES

The Peachy Undies are highcut and you can make them in
either a medium or high rise. I drafted this pattern because I
found that most underwear cut me at a weird spot between my
hip and waist and accentuated my hip dips.

As these are more highwaisted I’d reccomend taking your waist

measurement into account.
For example, my measurements are 64 cm at the waist and 97 cm
at the hip and a size 36 fits me perfectly.

INSTRUCTIONS

The seam allowance on this pattern is of 1 cm/3/8” and it’s already included in the pattern pieces.
The instructions apply to both the high and medium rise.

1 Put the Front right side facing up and pin one of the Gusset pieces right sides facing. Turn them over and pin

the other Gusset right side facing to the wrong side of the Front piece. Sew either using an overlocker or a zig zag

stitch and press the seam.

2 Put the Front piece out of the way by rolling it and separate the gusset pieces, one going towards

the front and the other towards the back.

3 Pin the Back piece to the Gusset right sides facing. Then roll the Back piece out of the way the same way

you did before and pin the other Gusset right sides facing with the wrong side of the Back piece. Sew them

together using either an overlocker or a zig zag stitch.

4 Turn your work inside out and pin

the side seams right sides facing.

Sew them together using either an

overlocker or a zig zag stitch.

5 Find the middle point of the leg holes. To do this fold the leg hole in half at the side seam and pin the

opposite end. Bring both points together and place a pin on both folded edges on the opposite ends.

5 Find the middle point of the waist by matching the side seams and placing a pin on both folded edges

on each opposite end.

6 Find how much elastic you need for each opening. Usually the elastic should be 5 cm shorter than the

lenght of your opening but this will depend on how much the elastic stretches. Use this rule of 5 cm smaller

but check if that amount feels confortable around the area.

7 Find the middle points of your elastic pieces as well, following the same method you used for the openings.

Pin the elastic to the leg holes and waist by matching the pinned places facing the wrong side of the fabric.

8 Sew the elastic using either an overlocker or a zig zag stitch. To sew the elastic, gently push the elastic

while sewing without stretching the fabric. Then, fold the elastic inwards and topstitch using a zig zag stitch.
