Character Backstory of How Ruby came to 1649 in England

it is the 16th century , where i live, hong kong was under the rule of imperial china and we
were affected by the great clerance, which required us the evacuate the coastal areas to
inland areas (which they need the land to fight the tai wan based anti qing loyalist
movement)

So me, being a 20 year old woman, moved closer to China and found a job as a working
porcelain maker. I started from the basic and,  owning to my talented skills, I was highly
appreciated by the industry by chance and we began trading with Europe. Porcelain was
largely produced during this era of Qing dynasty because it's gaining popularity in Europe.

I was appointed to be responsible for the trades with Portuguese traders because of this
demand. Though porcelains were only a small part of the trade, we deal we tea, silks,
paintings, metal work etc.

Most of the demand are made by royalty and wealthy patrons. Our demand for porcelain
in europe doesnt cease to stop, we started trading with Dutch VOC , which established its
own trade link with china. A dutch tradesman at the time fancied me and asked me to join
the trade journey with him so I agreed and we traveled to England together with the cargo.
We landed in around the royal area where the trade happened. And I was suggested to live
in a village while we trade there. As it is my first time in England, i find everything here
beautiful and i was in love with the dutch tradesman so life was good amid the political
unrest in England
