FIRE SAFETY AWARENESS SEMINAR

On March 26, 2023, there is a webinar in our school and it is about fire prevention and it
was a great opportunity to gain more knowledge about those kinds of situations since it
was March and it is one of the hottest months in the Philippines. This kind of seminar is
one of the public reminders that have the goal of increasing our knowledge of fire safety
and protecting our family and home.
according to NPTI Instructor SFO2 Veronica Vicente-Vasquez, having Knowledge of fire
prevention measures is essential because it can save lives and businesses. It is vital
that we adhere to all safety precautions to ensure the integrity and safety of your facility
and those who are using it. Fire and life safety inspections are required for both homes
as well as businesses. Each of us must understand or be aware of fire prevention
because taking part in this type of program will provide us with information and tips to
help us avoid problems and fires. Adequate fire safety awareness not only helps to
protect oneself from fire-related hazards, but it can also help to protect those who
cannot help themselves. This could include physically and mentally challenged people,
the elderly, children, and pets. Most fires are started by humans. It is therefore
extremely crucial that people are aware of their responsibilities in terms of fire safety. In
the event of a fire, whether people are able to safely exit the building or their home in
time also depends on their actions. People who practice fire safety reduce the likelihood
of a fire breaking out. When a fire does break out, knowing how to react reduces the
likelihood of people being injured or killed.
The seminar gives me more knowledge on how to prevent fire, especially since there
are some areas in my barangay affected by fire The seminar provided me with lots of
information about what we need to do and do not do if there is a fire alert and lastly the
seminar says that it is so important to prioritize ourself in this kind of situation.
