I am pleased to recommend Vanessa Hadley as a candidate at your school district. I have had the
pleasure of working closely with Vanessa as MTSS Specialists for the past two school years.
She works tirelessly to meet the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of the
kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students she supports.

Vanessa provides support to students in both literacy and math in a small-group setting. She
shows extreme dedication to her position and her students by understanding the importance of
meeting students at their current academic level and focusing on student achievement to guide
lesson pacing. She keeps students engaged by planning hands-on, interactive lessons and
incorporating play into her lessons. Vanessa empowers her students to be active participants in
their learning goals by unpacking daily learning targets and creating data folders for students to
track their own progress.

Vanessa is flexible and frequently adjusts lessons to best meet the academic needs of her
students. She has experience working with several intervention curricula and demonstrates
thorough knowledge of best practices to successfully instruct students who need additional
academic support. Vanessa is extremely organized and keeps up-to-date records for each student.
She frequently collects both formal and informal data which allows her to easily to track
progress and adjust lessons. In addition to meeting academic goals, Vanessa also implements
check-ins with students to strengthen social-emotional skills as well.

Vanessa is an active team player in our primary building. She works closely with classroom
teachers to interpret data, identify students who need academic support, and communicate
progress. She frequently collaborates with teachers to align her lessons with classroom learning
goals. Additionally, Vanessa is a member of the Primary Equity and Culture Committee and
Social Committee. She provides invaluable input and advocates for the students she services.
