Introduction

The Hydrostatics Bench and Fluid Properties is a compact, mobile and

independent unit.

There is a water storage tank, to work in a closed system, at the bottom

of the bench. The water is distributed by hand pumps from this tank to
two upper tanks, which are connected to different accessories and
measuring elements for its study. All excess water is returned to the
storage tank through a drain.

With these connections and the elements included, the Hydrostatics

Bench and Fluid Properties allows the performance of experiments
related to some areas of hydrostatics, such as the measurement of
pressure on the ground, the study of the capillary effect, buoyancy
studies, surface tension measurement, metacentric height
determination, measurement of hydrostatic pressure, etc.

Objective
1. Learn about the law of general buoyancy.
2. Calculation of the buoyant force of several different bodies.
3. Get to know the device hydrometer.
4. Knowing the relationship between area and pressure.
5. Draw relationship between water level & pressure .
Calculation
buoyant force for Aluminum in two way :-
1. W air –W water =2.3 -1.45=0.85 N
2. P*g*v = 1000*9.81 *88*10^-6 =0.86328 N

Erorr = (0.85-0.86328)/0.85=1.56%

Discussion
 he submerged body is subjected to a force called the buoyant
force.
 The buoyant force can be calculated in two ways.
 The error rate for measuring the buoyant force is due to:
1. Error in taking body weight measurement.
2. An approximate value of the gravitational constant has been
adopted.
 The amount of fluid displaced is equal to the volume of the
submerged object.
 error in calculating the pressure due to: an error in taking the
pressure reading from the device.
 The less the space, the more pressure & fluid level.
 the relationship between (area) and (pressure & fluid level) is
reverse.
