Learning Expectations
How do you learn new things (study techniques)?

How much time do you have to practise English outside class?
1. Write a short essay saying when you started to study English, what study techniques you find
useful and what you plan to do with English in the future.
2. Write a letter to your parents describing your journey to England, your first impressions of
the country and what you hope to do during the rest of your stay.
Get the students to work in pairs and interview each other to complete questionnaires (e.g.
the one above). They fill in the questionnaire for their partner not themselves.
