DETAILED LESSON PLAN FOR GRADE 2 MATH

March 27, 2023 (Monday)

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the pupils should be able to:
a. Content Standard - demonstrates understanding of straight and curved lines, flat
and curved surfaces
b. Performance Standard – recognize and construct straight and curved lines, flat
and curved surfaces and basic shapes
c. Learning Competencies/Objectives- constructs squares, rectangles, triangles,
circles, half- circles, and quarter circles using cut-outs and square grids M2GE-IIIg-
6;

Topic: Lesson 1 Construct Shapes Using Cut-outs and Square Grids
Reference: MELC Math 2 Quarter 3 week 8 page 204
SLM Mathematics Quarter 3 Module 7
Materials: chalk, manila paper, printed pictures

Identify the shape described and write its name on the blank. Then, draw the shape using the
square grids.
