Fraction Decimal

LINEAR EQUATION

★ A first-degree equation where the highest power of variable is 1.


★ The general form of linear equation is 𝑎𝑥 + 𝑏 = 𝑐 (x is the variable)
★ A linear equation has only one root.
SIMULTANEOUS LINEAR EQUATION
❖ A set of two linear equations in two variables.
❖ It can be solved using :
➢ Substitution method
➢ Elimination method

Example

Solve the following

3𝑥 + 𝑦 = 6
2𝑥 − 4𝑦 = 4

Ans: 𝑥 = 2, 𝑦 = 0
