STILL WANNA GET HIGH?

ABINAYA V

The marijuana plant widely known as weed is just a mixture of dried leaves of
cannabis. Some people smoke marijuana in hand-rolled cigarettes called Joints.
It is getting increased in usage among the age group 17-34 these days. In my
witnesses and experience I often see weed users arguing that “weed is good for
health”, “we won’t die smoking joint”, and “better than consuming alcohol”,
without knowing the snag. Also, used to wonder how people can make Tea,
shakes, candies, desserts, or any other dishes using marijuana. The various
factors that drive youngsters to fall into this trap are to seek some Mental
pleasure, to escape reality, to seek peace, to have a proper sleep, etc.
Even though using weed isn't so terrible, it reduces cognitive function, hurts
your motor skills, lowers your inhibition so you may have risky sex, and affects
your memory power, processing speed, and sustained attention. On regular
usage, weed may leave you irritable, restless, unable to sleep, and no appetite.
In one way or another, it may lead to complications in our lifestyle, career,
relationships, family, finances, and academics (for teens). A few researchers
have also reported that if someone falls into a habit of smoking weed every day,
He/she may never be able to concentrate on other things easily since it makes
you dumber by not being fully functional. It may also lead to legal issues for
weed users as many countries haven’t joined cannabis legalization, except
South Africa, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, Canada, Uruguay, a couple
of US states, and Germany, and these countries have its own rules and
regulations in terms of usage and cultivation of cannabis. Some countries import
weed and use it only for medicinal purposes.
And here are a few suggestions through which you can de-addict yourself,
1) mindset-have a clear goal, be consistent on your goal yourself
2) try to identify what triggers you to use it and control it healthily
3) Have your supportive, positive and healthy people around your side
4) find a replacement for weed -physical activities such as yoga, jog or
working out would help.
