जटाटवीगलज्जलप्रवाहपावितस्थले
गळे ऽवलम्ब्यलम्बितांभजु ङ्गतङ्

डमड्डमड्डमड्डमन्निनादवड्डमर्वयं
चकारचण्डताण्डवंतनोतन ु ःशिवःशिवम ्॥१॥

स्मरच्छिदं परु च्छिदं भवच्छिदं मखच्छिदं
गजच्छिदान्धकच्छिदं तमन्तकच्छिदं भजे॥९॥

(May the furiously dancing form of Lord Shiva be victorious)

(with fierce flames emanating from his forehead)

(which look like a series of exhalations of breath)

(of the wildly spinning snake)

(causing a series of sounds)

(When shall I get to worship lord sadAshiva)

(by holding my mind equanimously)

(between common folks, or great kings)
•tRNa-ravindachakShuShoH
(between blades of grass, or lotus petals)
•dRShad-vichitratalpayoH
(between sleeping on hard stone, or fanciful beds)
•bhujanga-mauktikasrajoH
(between the garland of a snake, or series of pearls)
•gariShTharatna-loShThayoH
(between highest of jems, or lumps of clay)
•suhRd-vipakShapakShayoH
(between best of friends, or bitter enemies)

vimuktalolalochanolalAmabhAlalagnakaH

(When shall I get to be happy)

(in the cave where the holy gangA flows)

(by holding namaskAraH)

(above my head, being rid of all my negativity)
✱lalAma-bhAla-lagnakaH
(with my focus in between the eyebrows)
✱vimukta-lola-lochanaH
(with my eyes that are unwavering)

इदम्हिनित्यमेवमक् ु तमत्तु मोत्तमंस्तवं


पठन्स्मरन्ब्रवु न्नरोविश द्

हरे गरु ौसभ
ु क्तिमाशय ु ातिनान्यथागतिं
विमोहनंहिदे हिनांसश ु ङ्करस्यचिन्तनम ्॥१४॥

paThansmaranbruvannarovishuddhimetisantatam |
haregurausubhaktimAshuyAtinAnyathAgatiM
vimohanaMhidehinAMsushankarasyachintanam ||14||

(the best and the highest of hymns)

(this very chant)

(which has been chanted thus)

(eternally)

(One shall easily attain)

(to the state of true devotion to the Lord and the Guru)

(Meditation upon the auspicious Lord shankara)

निलिम्पनाथनागरीकदम्बमौलमल्लिका-
निगम्ु फनिर्भरक्षरन्मधष्णि
ू कामनोहरः।
तनोतन ु ोमनोमद ु ं विनोदिनीमहर्निशं
परश्रियःपरं पदं तदङ्गजत्विषांचयः॥१५॥

nigumphanirbharakSharanmadhUShNikAmanoharaH |
tanotunomanomudaMvinodinImaharnishaM

(The groups of bright rays born out of his body)
✱kadamba-maula-mallikA
(resembling a garland of beautiful flowers)
•nilimpa-nAtha-nAgarI
(from the city of the king of gods)
•nigumpha-nirbhara-kSharat
(which are streaming down
unable to be held together in a bunch)
✱madhu-uShNikA-manoharaH
(this heat of sweetness that steals our hearts)

(joy to our minds)

(pleasures that last day and night)

shivetimantrabhUShaNAjagajjayAyajAyatAm ||16||

(May it bring us victory over the whole world)

(the ornament called the chant of Lord Shiva's name)

(which spreads the auspiciousness)

(with the brightness of furious raging fires)
•AvahUtajalpanA
(which is a cry of invitation)
•mahAShTa-siddhi-kAminI-jana
(to all the devotees who desire the eight great attainments)
•vivAha-kAlika-dhvaniH
(which is the auspicious marriage sound)
•vimuktavAmalochanA
(of the goddess who is the left eye of lord shiva)

नमामि भक्तवत्सलं नमामि भाललोचनम ् |
नमामि चन्द्रशेखरं नमामि दःु खमोचनं
तदीयपादपङ्कजं स्मराम्यहं नटे श्वरम ् ||१७||
namAmi pArvatIpatiM namAmi jAhnavIpatiM
namAmi bhaktavatsalaM namAmi bhAlalochanam |
namAmi chandrashekharaM namAmi duHkhamochanaM
tadIyapAdapankajaM smarAmyahaM naTeshvaram || 17||
