Guidelines for Major Project-II (01CE0807) Report – Semester 8

Each student group (Team) has to prepare and submit Hard Bound (for Department) and Spiral
Bound report with data in Google Form consisting of .doc, .pdf format of Final report, .ppt of final
presentation and zip file of source code.

All copies of the project report must be submitted on the day of external exam.

Total Copies of Final Report (per Team) = Student’s Copy (1) (Spiral Bound) + Department Copy
(1) (Hard Bound) + Copy for External guide (optional) who had allocated the project definition.
(Certificate must be individual.)
So, Minimum 2 copies are compulsory per Team.

Paper must be White Royal Executive Bond, 85 gsm Paper of A4 size only.
Line Spacing: 1.5
Printing Margin: 3 cm Left Margin
2.5 cm all Side Margin (Top + Bottom + Right)
Font: Times New Roman only.
Font size:
(Text should start from next line after Title.)
MAIN TITLE: 18 BOLD (Alignment: Left) (Title Case)
SUB TITLE: 14 BOLD (Alignment: Left) (Title Case)
MATTER: 12 Normal (Alignment: Justify)
All paragraphs must start without ‘tab’.
Two line spacing between paragraphs.
Start new Chapter from new page.

No blank area at the end of each page except last page of chapter.

Certificates – The Certificates shall be in double spacing using Font Style Times New Roman and
Font Size 14.
College and Industry Certificate must be individual.

Acknowledgements - The acknowledgements shall be in 1.5 line spacing using Font Style Times
New Roman and Font Size 12

Index – The Index should list all the main pages and chapters except Title page and Certificate.
Assign lower case Roman letters to Acknowledgements, Abstract, List of Tables, List of Figures,
List of Symbols, Abbreviations and Nomenclature. Use 1.5 line spacing using Font Style Times
New Roman and Font Size 12.

Abstract – Abstract should be one page synopsis of the project thesis typed 1.5 line spacing, Font
Style Times New Roman, Italics and Font Size 12

List of Tables – The list should use exactly the same captions as they appear above the tables in
the text. 1.5 line spacing using Font Style Times New Roman and Font Size 12

List of Figures – The list should use exactly the same captions as they appear below the figures
in the text. Figure copied from some paper or website has to be captioned with “Courtesy of ___”
1.5 line spacing using Font Style Times New Roman and Font Size 12

List of Symbols, Abbreviations and Nomenclature (Optional) – 1.5 line spacing using Font
Style Times New Roman and Font Size 12

Write figure number at the bottom of figure, E.g.” Fig. 5 (a)” followed by title of figure.
Throughout text figure must be cited as “Fig.5 (a)”. Figures must be in center of whole margin.
All details in the Figures must be clearly readable.

Write table number at the top of table, E.g. “Table 1.1” followed by title of table.
All Main Title, Sub Title, Sub-sub Title must be in Title Case.

References – In the alphabetic ascending order. Citations to be provided throughout the Report
