According to (Khan,.

2013), a student's capacity to participate in and contribute to

campus life might be hindered by stress, and the likelihood that they will engage in risky
behaviors like substance misuse and other negative behaviors can increase. That they know they
cannot control and is irrational, stress is the result. Numerous factors, such as difficulties with
time management, money concerns, interactions with professors, and social conduct, contribute
to the stress that students suffer. This research was done to find out how students' performance
was impacted by academic stress. Academic stress is a hot topic in both academic and societal
research studies today. Students' performance is impacted by academic stress, which may have
something to do with the fact that women are more prone than men to experience emotional
distress. A lot of tension is also brought on by schooling, assignments, tests, reading, tuition, and
other academic competitions, as said by (Porwal & Kumar, 2014). Furthermore, managing their
schedule for after-school activities causes a lot of stress for students. Academic stress is more
likely to affect students who find it difficult to balance their family, friends, social, and academic
obligations. Stress is very widespread since people are more worried about their carrier. The
degree to which kids are stressed out is greatly influenced by how teachers treat their charges.
The concern that these responsibilities would result in scholastic failure is a substantial source of
stress. When a teacher is personable, students are less nervous to talk to them about their
academics. Based on the study of (Baldon et,.al, 2008), there is a strong correlation between the
students' stress levels and coping strategies. Students often make plans and look for social
support. This result refuted the theory that there is no meaningful connection between stress
levels and coping strategies. As a result, their coping techniques are strongly correlated with their
level of stress. This is in line with the Lazarus Transactional Stress Theory, which claims that
stress is any situation in which an individual's adaptive capacities are taxed or exceeded due to
external demands, internal pressures, or both. The person uses adaptive or coping responses in
response to perceived environmental changes. In addition, (Vinas & Malabanan, 2015) said that
there are three types of students: climbers, campers, and
and renegades. No matter how challenging their academic subjects, assignments, projects, and
reporting are, climbers students still manage to perform well, and some are able to participate in
extracurricular activities. In terms of their clinical responsibilities, climbers students are the ones
who took the initiative to move and perform well in the task given to them. They have a strong
desire to study practically anything. The pupils who can handle difficult situations successfully
are known as campers; yet they lack the same level of motivation as students who have a high
adversity quotient. No of the cost, they are unwilling to give up their luxuries and do not
embrace many challenges. The third type are those who give up. These kids prefer to run away
from difficulties and give up when things become bad. They would prefer to skip class or go
home if they were being reprimanded by the teachers. In this way, students found comfort and
skip from academic stress.
