Internal Parts of a Keyboard

1. Conductive rubber/ Silicon Keypad

silicone keypad is basically a “mask” that is placed over a series


of switches in order to provide a more comfortable and tactile
surface for users. 

2. Keyboard matrix circuit

A keyboard matrix circuit is a type of keyboard that has a


grid-like array of horizontal and vertical wires connecting the
key switches.

3. Keyboard controller chip

the chip responsible for scanning the keyboard matrix,


debouncing switch activity and reporting key presses and key
releases to the host computer.
