I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:

A. Integrate understanding about occupational health and safety policies.

B. Perform various occupational health and safety work and;
C. Follow proper procedures on performing OHS.

“Good afternoon class!” “Good afternoon, Sir”

“Okay, before we begin our lesson, let us pray
first. Who would like to lead the prayer?”

“If we both ends of cable are T-568A then

what type of ethernet cable it is?”

“Very good! I think your mind warmed up

and can focus on our discussion for today.”

“Yes sir! We are ready.”

B. Lesson Proper

“Our lesson for today is Occupational health

and safety policies. Are you ready to listen
now class?

“Okay”

Occupational health and safety policies

“So, what is OHSP? Refers to the legislation,

policies, procedures, and activities that aim to
protect the health, safety, and welfare of all
people at the workplace.”

“As an employer or responsible contractor,

you are required by law to provide a ‘safe
system of work. Next are list of the 12
Occupational Health and Safety Policies.”

1. Always power off the computer and

unplug the computer before working on it.

2. Always power off the computer and

3. Take away any liquid near your working

area to avoid getting electrocuted or
accidentally damaging computer parts.
4. Be careful with tools that may cause a
short circuit.

5. Always ground or discharge yourself

before touching any part of the computer.

6. Do not use excessive force if things don’t

quite slip into place.

7. Clean the area before and after using it

to maintain sanitation and prevent
accidents.

8. Hold the components on the edges and

do not touch the Integrated Circuit (IC)
parts.
9. Always wear personal protective
equipment (PPE) in accordance with the
organization’s OHS procedures and
practices.

10. Make sure that the pins are properly

aligned when connecting a cable connector.

11. Contingency measures during

workplace accidents, fire, and other
emergencies are recognized.

12. Use a brush, compressed air, or blower

in cleaning the computer system.

D. Generalization
“Reduced risk or accidents or injuries by “Okay sir! “
identifying and mitigating hazards. Hence, it
is necessary for students to learn the said
topic so that they can apply it in performing
networking works and almost everywhere. So
that’s all for our session today class. We have
a short quiz before we go home.”

IV. Evaluation
