This is what the writing is about - what subjects has the writer chosen to include?
Why do you think they are important to the writer? Why do they make the diary
interesting to read?
This is about how the information has been organised — have incidents been grouped
together for any reason? Have they been described in chronological order or do very
important incidents come first? What information about the writer do we get from the
sequence of events in the diary?
This is about the choice of words, sentences and paragraphs the writer has made.
Are the choices linked to who they are and where they live or what they do, or are they
linked to what effect the writer wants to have on the reader?
