1. Title: Effects of Gamified Learning Activities (GLA) as a

Tool in Teaching Vocabulary to Grade 9 Students of La Salette

of Roxas College, Inc.

Statement of the Problem

This research aims to determine the effects of

educational games in the English vocabulary of Grade 9

students of La Salette of Roxas College, Inc. Thus, the

study sought to address the following research questions

1. What is the vocabulary performance of the students

before and after implementing the Gamified Learning

Activities?

2. Is there a significant difference between the pre-test

and post-test results in the vocabulary test of the

students in the control group and students in the

experimental group?

3. Is there a significant difference between the pretest

and post-test results in the vocabulary test of the

students in the control group and students in the

experimental group?
2. Title: Reading Proficiency of Grade 9 Students: Towards the

Development of Intervention Program

Statement of the Problem

This study examined and analyzed the reading proficiency level

of Grade 9 students of La Salette of Roxas College, Inc.

Specifically, the study sought to answer the following

specific questions:

1. What is the profile of the students in terms of the following:

1.1. First Language Spoken;

1.2. Exposure to reading materials and resources (print and

non-print) in terms of:

1.2.1. kinds of reading materials;

1.2.2. type of language use;

1.2.3. frequency of reading the materials

2. What is the reading proficiency of the Junior High School

students in the following skills:

2.1. using contextual clues;

2.2. identifying facts and opinion;

2.3. drawing conclusion ;

2.4. judging the relevance and worth of ideas; and

2.5. predicting outcomes.

3. What are the least mastered reading skills of the grade 9

students when grouped according to their profile?

4. What reading intervention program can be designed based on

the findings of the study?


3. Title: The Implication of Drill and Practice on the

Academic Performance of Grade 9 students in English

Statement of the Problem

This research aims to determine the implication of drill

and practice on the academic performance of STEM students of

La Salette of Roxas College, Inc. Thus, the study sought to

address the following research questions

1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of:

a. Age

b. Gender

2. What is the mean score of the students before and after

implementing drill and practice in teaching English?

3. Is there a significant difference between the mean

scores of students taught English Language using drill

and practice and those taught using conventional

teaching methods?

4. Is there a significant difference between the mean

scores of male and female taught English Language using

drill and practice and those taught using conventional

teaching methods?

5. What activity plan can be proposed to improve the

intervention and its utilization?
