COURSE / SECTION: CWTS101/A29
ACTIVITY TITLE: Essay #3
REALIZATION, INSIGHT AND LEARNINGS
How does your values affect your actions and behavior towards others?
Student’s Answer:

Values is our principles in life that we act to. This is basically our life, and who we are. We even have learnt
this subject ever since the start of our academic life in kindergarten, then on the primary year that Values
were then teaching GMRC (or good moral and right conduct) lessons. Then on the secondary level,
basically in short, we have learning values throughout childhood because we would bring it anywhere, we
went. So, this is the reason why it is hard to change one’s principles or values in life because we have
grown accustomed to it.

I never even thought of values as a subject, but just a mere requirement in school. I never realized its
worth not until I’ve grown older. It is important to have good principles set of values, especially to the
people around us. We need to learn about compassion and feelings of people, in order not to accidentally
or intentionally hurt or wreak havoc that would lead into disputes. Especially as we grow older, we are
meeting a lot of people and each of these people would also have a vital part in our lives.

It is required to be able to show the right conduct when meeting new people in order to create a good
connection between each other. If values subject were to be removed from the curriculum, I imagine it for
the community to be noisy, unlawful children who never want to understand what is right and wrong, and
unsafe. So, Values is as important as major subjects is, this subject is required for us to be successful in
life, not only to become a better contributor to the society but to be also a good individual.
