III. Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Preparatory 1.Drill:
Activities Money Tree
Pupils opens strips of paper pasted on a picture of a tree.
These strips of paper have a number sentences the pupils
need to answer.
48÷ 2.4 3.6 ÷ 3 24÷ 0.8 4.4 ÷ 2.2 88÷ 2.2
2.Mental Math
Jayda’s family has a small sari-sari store. Every time
her parents buy a 50-kilo cavan of rice, she helps in
the repacking. They repack it into smaller bags
weighing 0.50 kilo. How many small plastic bags do
they need?
3. Review
Recall the steps in dividing decimals by whole numbers
B. Developmental Activities B. 1. 5-Minute Reading
Teaching Modelling ( I DO) Read the following words and phrases
saves allowance buy pair rubber shoes costs
earns week need
Mario saves his allowance.
buys a pair of shoes
needs to save
2. Motivation
Do you have things that you really need to buy?
What do you do to buy these things?
Why is it important to save?

3. Present the New Lesson

Present and read the story problem.
Mario saves his allowance to buy a pair of
rubber shoes that costs ₱446.00. If he earns
₱55.75 per week, how many weeks will he
need to save?

Ask the following questions:

Who saves his allowance to buy a pair of shoes?
What kind of a boy is Mario?

4. Discussion
Ask the following questions:
What is asked in the problem?
What are the given facts?
What operation should you use to solve the problem?
What is the number sentence and the correct answer?
What are the steps in dividing decimals/mixed
decimals up to two decimal places?

Solve more examples.

262.5 ÷ 1.75 = N

Guided Practice (I DO) Group Activity- RELAY RACE

The class is divided into 4 groups. Provide the activity

sheets to each group.

Group 1: 36.2÷2.5=N
Group 2: 8.4÷ 0.2=N
Group 3: 2.4÷1.2= N
Group 4: 36.3÷3.3=N

Presentation of Output How did you find the activity?

How were you able to find the answer?
C. Post Developmental 1. Generalization
Activities How do we divide decimals/mixed decimals up to 2
decimal places?
To divide decimals and mixed decimals up to 2
decimals places.
-Make or change the divisor a whole number
by moving the decimal to the right.
- Move the decimal point in the dividend to as
many places as the decimal point in the
divisor is moved.
- Divide like whole numbers. Don’t forget to
place the decimal point in the quotient directly
above the decimal point in the dividend.

Independent Practice 2. Application/Reinforcing Concept and Skill

(You Do) Divide the following:
1. 3.72 ÷ .06 =
2. 4.84 ÷ .21 =
3. 8.82 ÷ .42 =
4. 22.14 ÷ 0.09 =
5. 75.24 ÷ 0.15 =

IV. Evaluation Divide the following decimals/mixed decimals.

Choose the letter of the correct answer.
1.) 0.24 ÷ .04 = N
a.6 b. .6 c. .06 d. .006

2.) 8.8 ÷ .02 = N

a. 0.0044 b. 0.044 c. 0.44 d. 440

3.) 1.68 ÷ .08 = N

5.) 7.28 ÷ .8 = N
a. 0.91 b. 9.1 c. 91.1 d. 911

1) Assignment Solve for N:

1. 25.0÷3.0=N
2. 36.3÷3.3=N
3. 15.0÷1.5=N
