Learning outcomes:
1. Following shop safety personal protective equipment requirements for the task, and arc welding safety practices.
2. Identifying and selecting the appropriate electrode polarity, amperage setting and electrode manipulation for a specific application.
3. Setting up and shutting down SMAW equipment.
4. Safety completing welding operation to specifications and within specified tolerances.
A. INTRODUCTION:
The welding-SMAW/GMAW combines hands-on learning of such skills as shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding,
Oxyfuel Cutting and other commonly used cutting methods. Theoretical training in such topics as welding and shop safety, basic welding
principles, weld Quality and shop math and more .

Performance Objective: When you weld, you should weld correctly so that it is easy to cause a
defect in your welded pipe. The passes must be correct so that the defect is not visible standards.

3. Prepare hammer, wire brush, pipe, electrode, welding machine.
4. Set up the pipe

Performance Objective: The welding is visually checked the one the is weld to know the defect so that we can see if the welding is done
because then one of our welds will be destroyed if we do not know the defect in it.

1. Wear proper Personal protective equipment
2. Prepare Pipe, Hammer, Welding Machine, Electron, wire Brush.
3. Start set up the pipe before to weld.
4. After the weld and check roots passes.
5. Start the weld for 6G passion and starting the weld 6 to 12
6. Before we checked what we have welding we should let it cool down
7. If it is cold, we have welding it for us to check, it must be clean first so that we can see the defect
