We have less than 85,000 without power - 6 percent.

One point to remember is we are now going to be

facing restoring increasing numbers of single outages as most large blocks of customers have already been
restored. We continue to focus on having 99 percent of our customers restored by Monday night and 100
percent of our customers restored by Wednesday night.

Rumors of us not working over this Labor Day holiday weekend are not true. Restoration work continues
24 hours a day until all customers are back and we have sufficient materials to complete the work.

Work crews have identified several instances of backfeeds and there are also reports of private tree
companies cutting trees without first checking for downed wires.
-Customers using generators should be aware that any generator should be installed by a licensed
electrician. If not installed properly generators could backfeed into our system and cause injury to our
crews and/or customers;
-Downed wires should always be considered live. As we are reenergizing lines, there is the possibility
that downed lines that were previously made safe could become live again.

We continue to add resources to the heavily damaged eastern, shoreline and southwestern
(Ridgefield/Redding/Weston/Wilton/New Canaan) areas of the state.

 1,730 crews are at work today. (1,180 line/550 tree crews)

Restoration projections for all of the towns we serve are on the website (www.cl-p.com) and are
updated twice daily (9 a.m. and 9 p.m.)

The latest storm damage assessment now stands at 941 broken poles, 3,404 sections of downed wire,
623 broken transformers and 2,045 closed roads across our service territory.

Three satellite locations are up and running to support our restoration efforts in eastern Connecticut and
along the shoreline - at the Waterford Speed Bowl, Brooklyn Fairgrounds and Tanger Outlets in
Westbrook.
