ACTIVITY
Description Pursuant to Republic Act No. 6949, s.1990, all government are
to celebrate Women’s Month in the month of March putting
emphasis on the 8th day as International Women’s Day. Balao
Elementary School participates the culmination of Women’s
month. Engaging Balao Women’s Association, stakeholders,
Barangay officials, Balao ES teachers and Brgy.Captain Mercedes
L. Yap. The activity focuses on Women’s vital role in the society.
This enable women be will informed in their rights and capabilities
of being a woman. And lastly, the essence of being a woman that
highlights the theme “We Gender Equality and Inclusive Society”
Objectives
 To inform and engage women and everyone to push for
gender-responsive government programs and services that
empower women to contribute to nation-buliding;
 To provide platforms to share good practices and address
gaps, challenges, and commitments in pursuing gender and
development (GAD)-to further strengthen the
implementation of the Magna Carta of Women toward its
milestone 15th year in 2024;
 To inspire women and girls to empower themselves and
take on leaderships roles, opportunities and benefits towards
maximizing their full potential and enabling them to reap
the fruits of gender equality;
 To promote a society that ensures inclusion, protection of
fundamental freedoms, diversity and social justice and in
which every individual, each with rights and
responsibilities, is capacitated and encourage to take an
active role to play.

 Exactly 8;30 in the morning all the participants gathered at

the gymnasium for the parade. After the parade a ‘ZUMBA
exercise was being conducted headed by the women’s
officers.
 Mrs. Jona Mayor the Women’s president delivered her
words of welcome.
 Barangay Captain Mercedes L. Yap delivered her message
focusing on women’s right and role of women in each
home. She even shared different ideas to promote gender
equality for husband and wife.
 Miss Cristina O. Malinao a substitute teacher gave a short
orientation of Women’s role and rights to promote gender
equality and empowerment of all women.
 Reiterates women’s commitments in pursuing gender
equality to promote citizen-centric governance and to
inspire women and girls to empower themselves and take on
leaderships roles, opportunities and benefits towards
maximizing their full potential and enabling them to reap
the fruits of gender equality
 Lastly, all participants joined the different “Parlor games”
conducted. They were enjoyed in the activities and prizes
given for the winners.
RESULTS
Achievement of 100% of the attendees were well-equipped with the
Objectives knowledge and skills about the topics being discussed and the
activities conducted. Everyone enjoyed the different games.
Participants’ Each participant has shown positive reactions on empowering

gender equality and to empower all women to- nation building.
