The Constitution of Pakistan, as amended up to date, guarantees several fundamental rights to its citizen

s. Some of the major fundamental rights of Pakistan citizens are:

1- Right to Life: Every citizen has the right to life, liberty, and security of person.

2- Freedom of Speech and Expression: Every citizen has the right to freedom of speech and expression,
and to form associations or unions.

3- Freedom of Religion: Every citizen has the right to freedom of religion, and to profess, practice, and pro
pagate their religion.

4- Equality before Law: All citizens are equal before the law and entitled to equal protection of the law.

5- Right to Information: Every citizen has the right to have access to information in all matters of public int
erest.

6- Protection of Property: No person shall be deprived of property save in accordance with the law.

7- Protection against Arbitrary Arrest: No person shall be arrested or detained without being informed of t
he grounds of his arrest.

8- Right to Fair Trial: Every citizen has the right to a fair trial and due process of law.

9- Protection of Women’s Rights: The Constitution guarantees equal rights to women and prohibits discri
mination against them.

10- Right to Education: The Constitution recognizes the right to education and obliges the state to provide
free and compulsory education to all children of the age of five to sixteen years.
