Difference between League of Nations and United nations

 The distinctions between the League of Nations and the United Nations begin with
their origins.
First, unlike the Covenant of the League, which was drafted after hostilities had concluded,
the UN's fundamental characteristics were conceived while the conflict was still ongoing. The
UN's broader powers for peacekeeping may be due to the pressing circumstances under
which it was conceived.
Second, the Covenant was drafted in a tumultuous climate at the Paris Peace Conference, and
it was included in the peace deal with Germany. Although countries may ratify the Covenant
and the Treaty independently, the relationship between them was not good psychologically
and contributed to, for example, the hesitancy of the United States to ratify the Covenant.
Although countries could ratify the Covenant and the Treaty independently, the relationship
between them was unsettling psychologically, contributing to the US Senate's refusal to ratify
the Covenant. The UN Charter, on the other hand, was drafted as an independent legal
instrument at a conference held specifically for that purpose.
Third, the Covenant was negotiated behind closed doors, initially by the five greatest
countries of the time—France, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States—and
afterwards by nine other allies. The final text of the UN Charter, on the other hand, was the
result of the combined efforts of 50 nations represented at the 1945 San Francisco
Conference, and thus took into account the concerns of smaller nations, particularly their
desire to give the new organisation far-reaching responsibilities in promoting economic and
social cooperation as well as colonial peoples' independence.
