Đề IELTS Writing Task 1 và 2 ngày 12-06-2021

Task 1: The pictures below show the process of making clothes from
recycled plastic bottles. Summarise the information by selecting and
reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The given illustration indicates how clothes recycled from plastic bottles
were made. Overall it is apparent that the closed process comprised 12
main steps, beginning with collecting plastic bottles and ending with
creating recycled clothing.
At the beginning, plastic bottles collected from recycle bins were
transported by garbage vans to the manufacturing factories. After sorting
these bottles, they were transferred to a cutting machine where bottles
were cut into pieces. At the next level, those pieces of bottles were being
washed off then directly dried under the sun for 10 hours. Then they
were boiled at high temperature at the eighth stage.
In comparison with the preliminary process of raw bottles, those
materials were being strained at the ninth stage to become yarns. Before
turning into rolling, they were moved to the weaving machines at the
tenth step. The whole process of recycled plastic bottles concluded after
clothing was made.

Task 2: Some people think the newly built houses should be the same as
the old houses in local areas. Others argue that local authorities should
allow people to build houses in their own styles. Discuss both views and
give your opinion.

It is true that the question of whether newly built houses should be

designed the same as the existing houses in residential areas remains a
source of controversy in the construction field. While some people agree
with the first point, I would argue that the local consultation should give
permission for people to build their houses based on their own
preference.

On the one hand, there are some reasons why newly constructed
houses should be the same as the old ones. Firstly, the similarity of
residence will enhance a sense of community and equality within
residentials areas. Due to the fact that a house often considerably
reflects the social status of its owner. Secondly, building new houses
based on the styles of the existing houses also contributes to the
preservation of traditional architecture. Hoi An, for example, which is
renowned as a historical heritage site surrounded by many ancient
houses. The local people there are encouraged to preserve the
uniqueness of architecture or construct new residences in traditional
styles.

On the other hand, I believe that people should be allowed to construct

accommodation according to their preference. First and foremost, when
it comes to building houses, apart from the consideration of durability,
the owners also want to prioritize their comfort in the new house. If they
have to reside in a place where its architecture makes them feel
unsatisfied, the owners are likely to lose a sense of bond with their own
home. Moreover, giving people the freedom to design their own houses
will create diverse architecture in local areas as each residence has its
own unique style. Last but not least, the interference of local authorities
in the way people design their houses may cause a controversy in
violating citizens’ rights.
In conclusion, I believe that the local authorities should permit people to
build houses in their own styles rather than compulsorily constructing the
same as the old houses.
